I recently had the pleasure of dining at a traditional Greek restaurant in Skopelos with a group of seven friends, and I must say it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment we stepped inside, we were greeted with warm smiles and genuine hospitality from the owners.
The ambiance of the restaurant instantly transported us to a cozy, rustic Greek setting, complete with charming décor and an inviting atmosphere. The owners went out of their way to make us feel at home, ensuring our dining experience was nothing short of exceptional.
Now, let me talk about the food – it was absolutely divine! I had the privilege of trying the pork dish, and it was, without a doubt, the best pork I have ever tasted. The flavors were rich and perfectly seasoned, and the meat was incredibly tender. It was a true culinary delight that left me craving for more.
What pleasantly surprised us even more was the reasonable pricing. Given the quality of the food and the warm service we received, we expected the bill to be much higher. But to our delight, it was incredibly reasonable, making the experience even more satisfying.
In summary, dining at this traditional Greek restaurant in Skopelos was a highlight of our trip. The owners’ hospitality and the mouthwatering food, particularly the unforgettable pork dish, left a lasting impression on all of us. If you’re in Skopelos and looking for an authentic Greek dining experience that won’t break the bank, I wholeheartedly recommend paying them a visit. You won’t be...
Read moreFinikas is possibly the most popular restaurant in the town so when we got there early doors we still had to wait for a table. Fortunately you can still get a glass of wine while waiting. Service as per the other reviews is friendly. However when we asked to just order our starters and order our mains later, as we have been served both starters and mains at virtually the same time in many Green restaurants (even when it’s not a Meze), the lady owner was quite insistent that we should order it all at once and she knew that we didn’t want it all at once and to trust her.
Well no sooner had I put my fork down from my last mouthful of starter the main meals turned up. Of course they want to turn the table around as quickly as possible but given that we may sit there finishing our wine for an hour it’s not very nice. Hence the 3 star for food, otherwise it would be 4 star as I’ve had better.
Another word of warning, when they tell you about the lovely sounding specials they don’t tell you they are typically 24€ when other dishes are 12€ so always ask...
Read moreGreat food, great service, great authentic atmosphere, family business. The father cooks, the mother makes deserts and the sons and nephews serve.
We were a group of 9, we had to wait around 20 minutes for two tables to be prepared but we ordered drinks and sit on the sidewalk.
Strongly recommend the speciality dishes that change daily and are not on the menu. We had some great stuffed pork, some great chicken with vegetables and a vegetables pie for appetisers. From the normal menu, we ordered an “all appetiser” platter, saganaki shrimps and great salads. Very good house wine, cold beers and great deserts. Strongly recommend the chocolate pie, lemon pie and fresh yogurt with home made jam, we tried sour cherries and it...
