Endless wait - we are now eating dinner at Scala Potamia near midnight due to the worst waiters’ experience I ever had. I will try to explain everything and the rating will sum it up. We arrived at 20:30h and waiter Isidora took us in, gave us table of some guests who missed their reservation and then we waited for 20 minutes for someone to give us the menu and take the drinks order. All the waiters look as if they are high and running around as if they do not what they are doing. Which they don’t. At 22:00 hours without any dinner - apart from the drinks and feta with sessame and honey - which was not the best, I tried better, we left, so we havent tried any Kleftiko which was aparently finished but no one bothered to tell us for 50 minutes and no one ever said ‘sorry that we have kept you waiting’ or anything else, so either they fire the complete staff and hire new manager, or just do not bother to stop there, its not worth it. The three stars goes for the music as it was good but you cannot live of it. A shame for the waiters’ profession. The worst I have ever seen: rude, boorish, loud, bad spoken English in the midst of the tourist location, unapologetical, the main waiter told my husband: “smile my friend, everybody is hungry’....

After visiting this place, we got the following impressions: when the table was set, we were not brought one glass, which was never brought at our request, there was no oil, no pepper, no napkins on our table, which were also not served. When the order was taken, we did not receive the most important dish, for which we had been waiting for an hour - a large assortment of fish. We sat and saw that such an assortment was brought to another company, later a girl came up and asked when ours would be, to which we received an answer - that we only asked, not ordered, although the waiter clearly listed all the dishes after ordering and where the first assorted!

It was a terrible mistake by the waiter, we were with these children and it was a terrible wait, the administrator corrected the mistake, promised 15 minutes, but we waited another 25! the dishes were delicious, there is a waiter who was very friendly, but the one who took our order and the one who served the table deserve the...

The waitress was pleasant enough but the overall experience was very poor. We were brought no water, the chips with our sausage meal were dry and seemed like they were made earlier in the day, if not day before, the pork and beef “handmade” sausage was chalky and dry, with a thick skin, the tsipiro tasty really weird. The standard tomatoe and cucumber Greek salad was quite good, the only redeeming factor. It was also quite telling when we realised that the only guests in the restaurant were all foreigners, no locals whatsoever. Based on our experience, would not recommend this restaurant for anything, except maybe the view during daytime, but even then, there are plenty of other places to enjoy a view and certainly, much better food. Sorry to the owners, but after 2 weeks in Greece this was the first bad food experience I had, and it was definitely WELL below what I had come to expect after all the other places I have eaten at, you need to lift your game if you want to stay...
