What an Incredible place, what an environment! So fabulous people.||Arrival day: we certainly did not expect to find in our apartment a bottle of nice wine, which as we learnt later, is a pure product of San Antonio, accompanied with a huge platter of fresh exotic and local fruits with compliments of San Antonio! What a lovely touch! ||Amenities in the rooms that nowadays even five star hotels have usually on request, such as toothbrush! ||Spacious apartment with a shower cabin in the bathroom instead of those usually annoying curtains, nice decorated room and living room, very clean, quiet, surrounded by olive trees and view to the sandy beach, providing also small kitchen facilities for preparing your morning coffee or a quick snack (in case you will need it – probably not)||And you won’t need it because as soon as you will leave your apartment and go for the bar restaurant of the property, you will feel bad if you won’t try at least to taste breakfast, snack, lunch, dinner, cocktails to this amazing yard, on the beach.||The beach is huge. Shallow sea, gold sand, sundbeds and umbrellas, coffee, drinks, snacks, served on the beach. No reason to leave the place. ||For lunch you can have tasteful dishes to the restaurant prepared and served in a perfect way (still remember that huge seafood platter among so delicious dishes). As the welcoming sign notes, smiles are for free, and are being given generously from everyone: Tassos, Maria, Filina, Anastasia, Angela, and all the staff! ||Needless to say that you certainly have to taste San Antonio homemade tsipouro, a product of Tassos distillery as well! ||In case you will leave the place, try being back for sunset time! You cannot miss it! And why not enjoy it with a glass of homemade refreshing rose wine!||Theme nights such as Jazz-Saxo night, Greek night etc. cannot be missed! We danced, we sang, we laughed, we had a wonderful time, and thanks to Angela that she provided also walkie talkie, our friends had the same good time, since they could enjoy lunch, dinner, drink, while at the same time, they could check if their child was awake, even if usually he preferred playing to the playing ground available to the property!||We really had a great time. This place is totally recommended whether you are travelling as couple or family with children. Cannot be closer to the beach, except if next year Tassos will decide to make the property floated. We can expect anything from this crazy, creative, joyful man!||I really want to thank again everyone for this lovely stay of 8 days. You guys rock. We were all so excited because you really don’t just meet the expectations but you are exceeding them. Even if we got back with some kilos more, since we could not resist to your delicious dishes, we really want to come back...

Read moreThe San Antonio Beach offers an excellent balance between beach and sea access, complemented by a well-established restaurant and bar complex. The beachfront itself is sandy, with ample space for parking, making it both accessible and convenient. Notably, it is one of the more affordable options in Thassos, with a 10 Euro charge for a double deck seat under an umbrella, and no additional spending requirements. The beach transitions smoothly into the sea, where the water remains shallow for approximately 50 meters before reaching depths of over 2 meters. This gentle incline makes it an ideal environment for families with young children, as the shallow water provides a safe and spacious area for play. On days with calm winds, the water remains clear, and there are no sea urchins, sharp rocks, or sea shells that might pose a risk to those who will step on them with bare foot.
The restaurant offers food that objectively exceeds the average standard in the island, with a menu that encourages repeated orders. The quality of food is not excellent in the absolute sense but pretty good when you normalize it with the prices. The establishment makes use of local ingredients such as olive oil (Sotirelis family) and fish like tsipoura (sea bream) when appropriate, and the recipes are thoughtfully crafted. The menu blends traditional Greek cuisine with a selection of international dishes, such as risotto.
Prices remain reasonable, providing good value for the quality of the food and the drinks. The service staff are exemplary, demonstrating exceptional patience and maintaining professionalism even in the face of multiple requests (we tested their patience multiple times). They do not exert undue pressure on guests, allowing for a relaxed dining experience.
One downside to note is the presence of wasps, which are prevalent across the island. However, they are generally not aggressive. The staff employs a traditional method of repelling the wasps by burning pots of coffee, as the smoke naturally (but semi-successfully) deters them, allowing guests to enjoy their meals without significant...
