Veranda 1700 — Restaurant in Zagori Municipality

A gem located on a hill, requiring a short climb after parking at the village entrance. The effort is well worth it for the exceptional food and stunning views. Unlike typical local restaurants, it offers a fusion of Greek and international cuisine, making for a unique dining experience.

The service was friendly and accommodating. As someone who needs to eat gluten-free, I appreciated their willingness to modify dishes to meet my dietary needs. Additionally, when our son didn't find anything appealing on the menu, they happily made him a schnitzel with mashed potatoes upon request.

Really does deserve 5 stars, incredible food, lovely building and atmosphere, and a really beautiful veranda to watch the sunset over the mountains.

The Salad with grilled apple, and another with trout were absolutely delicious. The steak was huge, tender and scrumptious and grilled to perfection.

You can also choose from a very well put together cocktail menu…🍹The Negroni’s were marvellously executed.

The waiter who served us was a real profesional, cool calm and collected. Nothing was too much trouble and his English was perfect. Very friendly and welcoming service, we enjoyed some whisky on the house before we left!

Veranta 1700 is the restaurant of the Mikro Papingo 1700 hotel, and just like the hotel, their restaurant is equally impressive in every single aspect! Great gourmet food at very reasonable prices, awesome interior and exterior design, fantastic view of the hills, very friendly and helpful personnel, huge variety of dishes in the menu and the chef was gentle enough to produce a dish with a sauce they didn't have in the menu just to serve us! If this isn't enough to convince you to give Veranta 1700 a try, I don't know what might do the trick. We stayed 5 days at Papingo and ate there 4 times, need I say more? Just go there and enjoy the awesome...
