Bel Mare Tavern — Restaurant in Zakynthos Municipality

Beautiful beach but the services and products what they sell very low quality-just avoid We went there 3 times .

You are not paying for the sun beds but in order to be served you have to go to the bar. Coffee is soo bad that I taked 2 sips and trew it away (strange taste -look like it was done with rain water - it will be a good idea to clean the coffee machine) First time we have order some food not the best in the world... Pasta with shrimps and Sea food plater for 2 -not impressed the price ask was hight and the quality poor(6 from 10) We have try the second time but we have wait for the beer to be bring over 30 minutes and the food came after 1 hour and 20 minutes. All the food was dip fried and full of oil (fried zucchini the worst ) -you can not eat something like this -disappointed Young unexperienced girl getting the order and strange enough another one bringing the food and another person bringing the drinks- all mixed up no kind of order or table number in place . 3 Rd time we went there and we have planed to have only the drinks and drive back for lunch in town. On Our way in we have bought a coffee . We put all our gear by the sun beds and the Young lady told us we are not allow with drinks from outside. We excused abound and try to finish the coffee in order to dispose the paper cups. The owner came around and ask for money in a rude manner for the sun beds saying that the rules just changed that day. We have changed places and moved to the first taverna on the beach where the service is service the quality is quality even if everything is with 10-15 % more expensive you know for what are you paying. (and the sun beds are not "free"-you ll pay 5€for a set.....) We are a family of 3 on vacation and this has been the best restaurant that we have been to! The atmosphere is great with it being by the sea and there are also spaces on the actual beach. All of the workers there are very friendly and welcoming even though we arrived quite late in the day they still welcomed us in. And finally the food was the best we have had on this island all of the seafood was very fresh and cooked really well, all of the dishes were well seasoned and tasted really good and they are all very well priced there was also a free that was offered and the end of our meal which was also nothing like we have tried before and was very unique. I don’t normally leave reviews but this is a standout place to me that i had to support them. Overall it was strongly recommend...

Finally, a sandy beach in Zakynthos! Dafni Beach is very quiet and peaceful compared to other beaches. Bel Mare offers really delicious seafood! The prices were reasonable. The place is divided into two sections, one part is where the tables are for the restaurant and the other has sun beds. You can stay here the whole day! The only thing I despise is getting to this place. You have to go around the mountain to get to Bel Mare and you're driving on a tiiiiiny dirt road for what seems like forever, not even concrete and it's so steep that making turns was scary AF. There aren't even any rails so you have to be super careful! Our tiny European car looked like it had been off-roading after coming to this place. I'd say it was...
