Dionysos on Heaven — Restaurant in Zakynthos Municipality

After reading all the great reviews I had to do this experience myself and what an amazing place to encounter, Dion and Nikki are absolutely lovely and I can’t wait to return 2025. Food was amazing, setting was like a picture postcard and the ambience was unbelievable.

Please don’t arrive expecting a McDonalds speed or delivery…

You arrive to enjoy your surroundings and speak with Dion / Nikki as to the time you estimate your feast bearing in mind you have chosen this before you wander off and snorkel or bath or turtle gaze, this place is not a drive though so don’t take your hungry children expecting and instant dish,it’s an adventure and a sensory gap which is so traditional your children would not survive!

1st weekend on the Saturday we spent there and had the most amazing thunderstorms we could imagine and the turtles had not yet been hatched ….

We saved the very last day for the best place on that island where I first visited 30 years ago and has not changed one bit except for my new friends…

I can’t wait to visit you again and to be so honoured that you want my lady and myself to spend the night on your beautiful beach not forgetting that all the hills around that beach are yours and the turtles and their babies are all around and on you beach.

We are booking and we WILL spend that night with you and your soul but never forgetting the land and people that you call your people. (Don’t think everyone is his people) but be proud when you become one 💜

This guy is absolutely awesome, warm-hearted and individual same time... He built his place on his own and he is so proud of himself... When you get to Dafni beach and pass all posh tavernas you will get to his paradise... That place is so peaceful and relaxing. There is no sign, no menu, no prices... If you really feel you wanna go there, don't be afraid as you can really rest and relax there. He will give you what he actually have. We stayed there all long afternoon drinking fresh orange juice, his own made white wine and grilled fresh fish caught by him...he usually has a few fishes per day like he said not many people come to him as they are scared of his place, lots of people just pass him, taking a beautiful pictures and saying hello... There was a few people with us drinking beers, wine, orange juice, some of them were lying on the bed, yes the bed, decoration there is just awesome and worth to go and talk with him and just feel very welcome ... when we asked how much we pay for our drinks and fish served with the homemade bread and olives from his trees he said he will accept as much as we give him... He just welcomed us with food he actually had then... this place is so specific and perfect for relaxing but not for everyone tho... If you go there just please respect him and his place as this is so unique and perfectly nature...

Just so you all know and not be disappointed in any case, Dionyso’s place is NOT for everyone. Don’t be shocked if you walk in unexpected and you’re not welcomed there as a valued customer cause you’re bringing money, it doesn’t work like that at Dionyso’s. Only the souls that are meant to end up there and meet him and live this experience are meant to. The encounter is psychedelic, the food takes you places and the atmosphere cannot be described by words. If you are not 100% sure that it’s a place and a time for you to go there just don’t, Dionyso’s doesn’t like any advertising or picture posting, if he could have his whole place hidden he would. So if you end up there and you see the whole place empty and just a couple there, then it’s not the time for you. Deal with it and enjoy your day.
