Charlie Chaplin Restaurant — Restaurant in Zakynthos Municipality

After my parents recommend this restaurant we went to visit on the first evening. When we came to the restaurant there was no one trying to lure you in, just a menu on the side and the boss waiting at the entrance when you want to get dinner here that is a big plus for me!

The staff is very friendly! They will come up to you to have a small chat if you want to and always ready to recommend some dishes, for example if you are curious about the seafood to tell you what fish is best to choose and why that is. After talking to the boss for a while he remembered who our parents were and picked out his review in a matter of seconds (they were here 2 years before us)!!

Since we only had seafood here i will focus on that. The food was amazing after asking what fish would be a good choice they recommend us the Seabass and salmon. So the first evening we tried the Seabass. You have 2 options if you order it: whole fish, or as a filet. Whole fish really means whole fish from the grill (skinn and bones still inside). It was a very good choice and can really recommend it. I also tried the salmon that was also a very good choice can't really decide what of the 2 options was best. Next to the fish we had French fries and a salad with a very good sauce for the fish/fries.

Since we both like to try out different cocktails we had some different choices here, all of them were very delicious.

Because of the very good experience on the first day we went here for 2 more days after, in my opinion this restaurant is the best one in the area and a must try if you...

We loved this restaurant! We visited 4 times during our stay in Argassi last week. The food and the service is 5*. From the moment we walked in we were greeted with smiles and they recognised us every time we went back which makes such a difference to the experience. Not only are the portions HUGE, the food is so delicious, we enjoyed every single dish that we tried here. Including chicken souvlaki, chicken gyros, lamb chops, mixed grill, beef stifado, Charlie Chaplin burger (the best burger I’ve ever had), Zante chicken, salmon fillet….ALL AMAZING! Also the desserts are unbelievably huge but delicious, we tried the chocolate soufflé, the Charlie Chaplin ice cream bowl, the banoffee pie and baklava but the frygania was my favourite! Definitely worth visiting, the team are so lovely, the venue is stunning (worth reserving a table to get to see the sea views!!) and the food is incredible. I hope to return to Zakynthos in the future and I will definitely pay a visit to the Charlie Chaplin...

So at first we thought it would be gimmicky....Charlie Chaplin ? But the reason for the name is that the owner loved the slient films and everything about Charlie Chaplin and is a huge fan, infact all the staff are , they were brought up watching them so they all have a passion for this character 💙 Well...... this place did not disappoint! The breathtaking sea view balcony that we were led to also means you could see the atmosphere of the restaurant behind you. The staff were very happy, cheerful and entertaining, they helped with the description of the dishes very well. The food itself was plentiful and great value for money. Our kids are very fussy eaters, and we have tried several restaurants for garlic bread with Cheese , Margatita Pizza, and chips, and they did not disappoint. Grown-up meals were just delicious and cooked perfect , I'd thoroughly recommend...
