Wow, incredible restaurant!
On our first night we ate at this place (with seven). For every single one of us, children included, the food was really good. The service was really friendly and nothing seemed to much for them.
We got al little extra for starter and when we signalled to get the check, we where not allowed to leave before being presented with a desert on the house (local speciality, Frigania and a homebrewn Limoncello; both wonderful!).
Next couple of days we tried several other places in Argassi, non of which as good as Erato nor as friendly service as over here.
Then after about a week we went over to Erato again. And again the food was great, and the service delightful. Now we ordered completely different dishes, but again right on the mark for tastes.
Hereafter we haven't derived from eating at Erato except for the days we were about. Really delicious food and very very friendly and considerate hosts. There was always a way to fit us in even if we were with seven. (In the end we did reserve our table up front)
Team Erato, thank You for this amazing experience.
@Ida, I think I'd give no mind to the garlic. There are really no bad spirits present at Erato. Say hi to Nadali and Your "polyagapiménos" (sorry, I didn't catch his name)
With kind regards,...
Read moreThe food was fine but not great the stuffed mushrooms were very good. The pizza was mediocre. The service was terrible though. Because they were busy. Fair enough so my order reflected that I was tired and just wanted something quick. First of all an hour to make a pizza is ridiculous and when I asked were the bases fresh or bought it or frozen I seem to have offended the staff. Legitimate question? I after the pizza asked for the bill asked the first time. Waited 10 minutes asked a second . They then came down with a cake I did not want and had to say 3 times to the staff member I did not want it and all the surrounding other diners staring and again asked for the bill. Thankfully only took another couple of minutes. I then had to wait another 5 minutes to pay by card nobody around so I got up and went to the till. The bill was wrong I was being charged for a half bottle of red. I don't drink wine of any sort and generally don't drink alcohol with dinner anymore. I pointed it out and told him it was fine and I would pay what was on the bill. I just wanted out and that would do as a small tip. ( why I gave one I don't know. Obviously by this time I was annoyed but not yet angry and just wanted to leave. Then i was asked was I OK did we do anything...
Read moreWe passed a few times and noticed this place as always busy, so we decided to sack off the hotel meal and head down and give this place a try.
We got a table straight away even though it was quite busy. We ordered drinks straight away, my drink came almost immediately but my partners about 5 mins later. After waiting around 10 mins longer after my partners drink was dropped and the waiter ran off we finally got to order.
1 hour!! Yes 1 hour later we was still awaiting our food to come. We asked the waiter and was told the grill was full and we had to wait. About 10 minutes passed and the meals was finally fetched out.
The food was OK, nothing to write home about which was kinda disappointing after waiting so long. I can only assume its always busy as the wait on food is horrendous, 90% of the tables was waiting on food or was just sat drinking during our visit.
Given 3 stars as the service could been better, don't think they understood why we was frustrated at waiting an hour for a chicken skewer and a pork gyro.
Disappointed in myself for not getting pictures of the meals, but we was that hungry we just dived right into them before we even...
