As a restaurant owner myself, I approached our wedding gathering at Cotton Club in Kalamaki with high expectations, especially after coordinating a preordered menu for a group of 25 guests representing a range of international backgrounds. While the venue delivered beautifully on ambiance—with its picturesque views and elegant atmosphere—the service and execution unfortunately fell short of what was promised.
We had arranged the entire meal a month in advance to ensure a smooth and timely experience. However, despite this preparation, our starters were significantly delayed and the main course arrived over an hour after the scheduled time. Not all guests received the burrata salad, and we had to request additional portions. Furthermore, the salads were brought out at the same time as the lamb shanks, which disrupted the intended flow of the meal. To add to the confusion, the lamb shank served did not match the presentation shown in the pre-event photo, which was disappointing given the expectations set.
The food itself was flavorful—the bread baskets were appreciated and the wine selection complemented the meal wonderfully. But in hospitality, timing and consistency are just as critical as taste. In this case, the long wait and deviation from the agreed menu undermined the overall dining experience. Several guests expressed their disappointment, which was especially unfortunate given the importance of the occasion.
An extra add before I conclude this review, the owner/ manager was unreachable. We had to call several times in order to speak with her.
Cotton Club has great potential, thanks to its beautiful setting and quality ingredients, but operational reliability and service timing must be addressed to meet the expectations of discerning guests—especially for...
Read moreWe had a great dinner here on Thursday 6th July. Food was delicious. We had sashimi , ebi rolls and the tiradito as starters, and as mains the prawn curry and the boneless ribs. Cocktails were yummy as well , we had the porn star, the Watermelon martini and a frangelico sour as a digestif. The view is nice, but I wouldn't say is the best..you can definitely find nicer views around the island. But we were really impressed with the service at this restaurant. Our brunette waitress was attentive, yet not intrusive, was around whenever we wanted to order something, she brought my glass of wine exactly after I had finished my cocktail without even reminding her, plus she gave us great recommendations. Not sure what her name is, but big thank you for your service. You really made our evening! Overall, not a cheap restaurant, but it is worth dining here. You will be spoiled with great food and service. Would definitely...
Read moreLet me get this out. I’ve read loads of reviews of this place. I’ve read a review that said that the soy sauce has been diluted into watery sauce. I didnt believe, found out its a premium light soy sauce. I know because I taste many types of soy sauce. Overal the food is tasteful. We expected more of the chocolate dessert but we were last guest so I guess the kitchen wasnt too happy haha
The service was wonderful, though there are difference of energy of the waiters, in general they perform professionally. Denzel is chill, he gives you a joyous touch.
Do your research and know what you can spend. Atmosphere, food, architecture, service, scenery is what...
