Had a short, but enjoyable stay at the Nikon Boutique Hotel over the course of 5 nights.
Positives;
On arrival we were greeted by Marili and her beaming smile, and we were told that we had been upgraded into a larger room with a hot-tub. We got a complimentary flute of champagne while we had a very short wait for the room to be prepared, which was a very nice touch.
In the room we were treated to a lovely bottle of rose wine, alongside some sweet treats. The room has everything you can possible want - a full vanity set inc; toothpaste, toothbrush, wash mitts, shoe cleaning pad, cotton buds/pads + a few other items. There is two chunky towel robes for after the shower and plenty of other sized towels for your needs. Also, there is a beach bag with 2x beach towels in for you to use if you want to visit the beaches nearby - a great touch.
There is no sun lounger wars at the hotel, as we found a lot of the guests tended to go out on excursions, or to the beach, so on average only 8-10 or so people were around the pool at any time. The pool area is a real sun-trap and every lounger gets full sun coverage through out the day - sometimes even with the parasols up.
The staff are very friendly, always greeting you when walking by and are happy to help you with whatever you may need. Very welcoming. All but one of the staff are women, which may appeal to you if youâre a solo female traveller.
There is lots of great restaurants and bars nearby, all within a 15 minute walk to the far end of the strip.
Negatives;
Breakfast - we found the breakfast to be slightly underwhelming. There was only 5(?) hot options available, of which 3 were different varieties of eggs which we found to be rubbery some days and were tasteless. Also one of the hot options was a cauliflower, broccoli and carrot which we found to be a strange choice.
The pool - despite the pool being very aesthetically pleasing, and it being enjoyable to be in, it unfortunately has an issue with its chlorine level as both pairs of my swim trunks (which had white parts) stained with a neon green tint from this and I had to discard them as they were ruined. There is also a thick green line around the inside of the pool due to the build up of chlorinated water, which suggests it doesnât get cleaned as often as it should.
Drains - a very small issue was that the drains in the room had a smell when you came back into the room, but I do understand that this might not be something the hotel can control/rectify. Maybe some room sprays left in the room for guests to spray would be a nice touch.
Noise - The room/sound proofing wasnât the best. Our room was facing the main road so you could hear all the traffic, passers-by, and residents of the rental apartments opposite at night time despite having the doors locked and curtains across.
All in all it is a good hotel, and I can see why it gets high ratings, but it was just a few little things which stopped it from getting the 5* review. But donât let this put you off, have a read of the other reviews and decide...
   Read moreStaying at Nikon Boutiq Hotel 4* was an inspired choice not only because it is very accessible, but also because it is truly a 4* hotel with staff who are extremely kind and always available to help you if you need anything! It is a beautifully maintained hotel where cleanliness seems like a religion, and the employees are always smiling and ready to offer you the best experience! Besides the fact that the room is spotless, there are robes for the beautiful outdoor pool, slippers, and even beach towels provided daily by the hotel. The hotel is quiet and attracts quality people! It's a true oasis where you can retreat after a wonderful day spent on the island!
On top of all these benefits, I must mention that the hotel manager, a young lady named Marili, helped us with everything we needed from the moment we arrived! Since we arrived around 9 in the morning, she did everything possible to get us checked in quickly so we wouldn't miss anything the island has to offer! I can say she achieved a record time and had our room ready in an hour, during which she invited us to have breakfast knowing we were tired after a whole night spent traveling! Naturally, she was able to help us with the accommodation since someone had an early flight and our room was available before the estimated time! Her care and treatment of us say a lot about her, and we have nothing but praise for her! She helped us make the best decisions regarding the excursions we chose during our vacation by calling various companies operating on the island and negotiating the offers for us! She was a real help!â¤ď¸ In the first half hour after our arrival, she helped us rent an ATV to get around the island. All we had to do was tell her we wanted a means of transport, and she took care of everything! We can only give her a 10+ rating! On the last day of our stay, since our airport transfer was quite late in the afternoon and the hotel had room availability, she helped us with a late check-out so we could enjoy that half day at the hotel beach!đâ¤ď¸â¤ď¸
Not to mention that in the hotel room we were greeted with a bottle of wine on the house, and at the end, they gave us a lovely parting gift, which was very thoughtful, especially since it was something easy to carry in hand luggage! Itâs incredible that in 2024 there are still places like this with people who think of everything and want you to have the best vacation at their accommodation!
There is no rating for this experience that we recommend 100%, but we will still give it a 10+++
Thank you, Nikon Boutiq Hotel!đâ¤ď¸ Thank you, Marili, we loved being your guests and we can't wait to come again!đđđâ¤ď¸â¤ď¸â¤ď¸ You are an...
   Read moreAfter driving through Kalamaki to get to this hotel, and arriving at the location- you could just tell this was going to be the best hotel in the area. Nothing compared to this when looking at others online and in person.
Location wise is perfect- just off the strip so close enough to walk to all the bars and restaurants but a quiet location for you to enjoy your stay!
When we arrived, We were greeted by a beautiful young lady who was quick to inform us that our room had been upgraded due to the hotel just opening. To our delight, it was a private pool room.
The room itself was immaculate and spacious. This hotel have thought of absolutely everything! It included everything and more- slippers and robes, fridge, coffee machine, safe deposit box, bottles of water, TV, hairdryer, shampoo and body wash. It even had a bottle of wine and two apples for our arrival. We were truly spoilt by this experience.
Everyday the rooms were cleaned, new towels placed and fresh bottled water placed in the rooms.
Breakfast is included in the price and this did not disappoint. It ranged from: fresh hot meals (omelette, bacon, mushrooms etc), to continental meats and cheeses. They had cereal, bread, juices, coffee machine. Anything you needed, they had!
The pool area was beautiful- just the right temperature. Plenty of beds, chairs and places for you to relax.
The staff- all absolutely fantastic. Knowledgeable about the local area and pointed us to some really great beaches, restaurants and places to visit.
I will 100% be coming back here, and recommending this...
