When looking with our family for a lovely restaurant overlooking the sea in Tsilivi, we found Limanaki and made a reservation for 21:00 that evening. Unlike all other restaurants (we visited in Greece) the owner welcomed us in an irritated way while blaming us for being late. Somewhat confused we were escorted to our table...once seated we discovered we entered the restaurant 21:03...so why on earth did the owner blame us? Unfortunately it became even worse. When we wanted to order some drinks and appetizers the owner insisted we had to order our main courses as well (and not in a kind way). How strange. In such a beautiful place such a horrible service. Finally he accepted our request, while saying something like it was our own 'fault'. The drinks came rather fast, but the appetizers took ages (all other tables first?!) As we were not looking for a rude, unfriendly service, we decided to leave (disappointed) this restaurant. Greeted by I presume the owner, who let us pick where to sit, and we obviously opted with the water front view, which was incredible as the light was dying, very peaceful. As the night went on the restaurant filled out a lot more and got a little louder but still nice. Two chaps with instruments started to play music between the tables which was a nice unexpected extra.
Food, we ordered the Greek sausage and aubergine salad to share between two, very generous portion and delicious, then we went for the fried calamari and the white bait(guy said they had a slightly different fish in that day instead of the white bait but swore by it and said they were actually slightly bigger, so I certainly said yes) both mains were incredible and super value for money for the seafood options.
While we waited on the starters they brought over some complementary bread and oils to get us going.
Great hospitality and food, will def go back before our...
Read moreWe went in there as the view was fantastic and it seemed like it would be an amazing experience however we were met with an awful meal. Service was abysmal when we were first seated we were left without menus for 10 minutes!
For starters we ordered garlic bread and fish fingers, these were mediocre at best but the garlic bread was oily.
When our mains came i ordered seafood pasta while my partner ordered spaghetti bolognaise, which was dripping in grease he even had to use a tissue to mop it up.
Throughout our short meal, the manager done nothing but bark orders
All in all, we will not be coming back and i would give it 0...
