Menir Taverna — Restaurant in Zakynthos Municipality

I am travelling by myself and ate here the last 2 nights. Last night I had the mixed grill and enjoyed the fod and the service. Tonight I was served by the same waiter as last night who did not remember me despite it not being exactly busy the day before. I ordered garlic prawns for starter and the grilled lamb chops for main. The main arrived pretty much as soon as I put my fork down and was mainly bone and fat. I'm fairly sure the half carafe of red wine was watered down also as I was walking a lot straighter than I should have been. The owner (I presume) was far too busy trying to pull people in from the street so did not notice the complaint to 2 of the waiters, after which I was told I should order the moussaka instead. NOT EVEN A 1 STAR!!!! Welcomed by a lovely man and seated very quickly. With high hopes However, we soon realised once in the restaurant the staff were more concerned about getting customers into the restaurant rather then looking after the ones that were inside. I ordered the garlic bread to start it came with grated carrot on it, which wasn't stated on the menu or we wouldn't have ordered it. My wife ordered the chicken souvlaki which clearly came uncooked, raw and extremely pink. We informed a member of staff, he told us it’s meant to look like that. So we asked another staff member and he removed it from the table. Kindly, they removed it from the bill I wouldn’t recommend this place at all unless you want to eat...

While on holiday we heard that this restaurant was worth a visit, the chefs cook from the heart. Hearing the good reviews, I went with my girlfriend for dinner. I ordered the lamb and my girlfriend ordered the fish. Both dishes were delicious, and I was surprised by how the lamb was served, in a spectacular way. I sincerely recommend coming here and trying the delicious dishes they serve. I felt at home, the atmosphere was completed by the Greek music that played from the loudspeaker and then we had the opportunity to hear live music. I wholeheartedly recommend...
