Ana Cocina Local — Restaurant in Guatemala City

nothing is going well.

The food is served slowly. The ingredients are repetitive. nice presentation and ideas. But it has nothing to do with the expression of the food itself. Fruits and vegetables do not solve the balanced problem. pity.

Octopus is bitter and I felt it was overcooked. All the dishes did not match a good order and taste wasnt well considered.

Overall they were very salty.

the menu I ate, it can be counted as an complete one. It's far away from the delicious food. cuz I have experienced that how good can people make maya diet food here in Guatemala. thankfully I didnt try this place on the first day of travel.

I respect your work and I paid Q700+. 😅Q60+ for ur presentation is fine but it waste my time and make my lose the last chance to enjoy local high-end restaurant as a visitor. They didn't apologize for my dissatisfaction.

never ever experience the same thing in my life. at one moment just wanted to pay the bill asap and leave for eating real good food at sublime next door. Please take care of the quality control in each meal u served or reconsider the combination of Every dishes.

I dont care how solid the background of the restaurant can be, like how the owner is well-connected with local people to attract lots of fans and provide the priority. The food I had was a failure.

If you miss eating at Ana Cocina you will miss one of the loveliest dinning experiences possible, and not just in Guatemala.

The setting is an ode to Chef's grandmother and feels luxurious, Avant Garde and cozy all at the same time. The staff are like long time friends, welcoming you into their home with explanations, pride and a little showmanship.

All of this sets the stage for phenomenal food. Local ingredients carefully and creatively paired, prepared and presented to showcase Central and South American traditions and cultures. Some course menus seem created to show off the chefs talents, this does for sure but the ingredients and authenticity are center stage here.
