Harukoma Shiten is located on the famous Tenjinbashisuji shopping street, and it was a delightful experience. The surrounding area is bustling with activity, making it fun to take a leisurely walk. Upon arriving, there was a line to get into the restaurant, but we arrived at 4 pm, so the wait was pleasantly short, just 15 minutes. The restaurant's menu offers a wide selection of sushi, and I was impressed by the generous portion sizes. What truly stood out was the unbelievably inexpensive prices compared to what I'm used to in the US. The best part of the meal was the superior quality of the sushi. Each bite was a slice of heaven. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for delicious high quality sushi.

We got 18 pieces in total and 2 hand rolls. You can swipe to our written order to see the names of what we got. We also added a “jyo unagi aburi” / superior grilled eel after because we saw people beside us with some maaaassive pieces. Boy, was it worth it… we looked at each other and went 🤩🤯😳. So fatty and smooth and tasty. All of the sushi was amazing; the only one that I was a bit disappointed about was the uni as it did not have a clean taste at all but the texture at least was good. There are a lot of food spots to stop at along the market - I don’t think you can go wrong anywhere especially during lunch when prices are cheaper. 💴¥4345 after tax (~$40CAD)

Six years ago this was the best sushi we had in Japan and we have been dreaming about coming back ever since. Today was the day! We (family of 5 from Amsterdam, The Netherlands) queued happily for an hour. Unfortunately our experience was disappointing this time. 😔 We had to wait for over an hour for the second half of our order. We gently reminded the staff 3 times. Eventually the table next to us seemed to get our order. They looked surprised, but ate it. We then waited 10 more minutes, but our kids really couldn’t wait any longer. We started in the queue at 5pm, had a table at 6pm. The first part of our order came at 6.30pm. We decided to leave at 7.50pm. It is really a shame as we were so excited to eat here again.

We happened to visit Harukoma branch in Tenjinbashi suji for lunch as we saw some queue to enter. It was crowded, but staff were kind to let us have seats and menu and have the order for sushi. Menu has 2-3 kind of languages for foreign tourists to check and order conveniently and comfortably. We ordered 7~8 kinds of Sushi (a dish has usually 2 pieces in it other than pricey ones) and were served with good hot green tea(powder). Sushi was generally good, but I cannot say they were the best or so. They were more likely to be good value for money.

Highly recommended - One of our best meal in Japan! Extremely Value-for-money! Prices range from 150-1000¥, most items below 600¥. We actually planned to go to the main shop but the Q was very long even at 230pm. We realised this branch was only 5 mins away from the main shop. Service was prompt and fast. They was even nice enough to separate the orders for kids (w/o wasabi) and adults (w wasabi). Definitely try their Chutoro and Ootoro, as well as their marinated tuna sushi! Mushroom Sushi was interesting too!

This is what you should come to expect from Japan sushi. The fish is fresh, and serving method traditional. It may get crowded during lunch hours, but they do not break until closing at the end of the day, so a late lunch would work as well. Expect to pay from 200-500 JPY for a pair of sushi. The key difference between them and Endo is that you order ala carte vs Endo’s omakase style. Average price is 350 JPY for a serving of 2 sushi. Highly recommend trying the tamago!
