Kema Sakuranomiya Park — Attraction in Osaka

Kema Sakuranomiya Park is an absolutely beautiful riverside park, especially during sakura season! The park stretches along the Okawa River and is lined with thousands of cherry trees, creating a breathtaking tunnel of blossoms in spring.

It's perfect for a hanami picnic, a relaxing stroll, or just enjoying the peaceful atmosphere by the water. Easy access from Sakuranomiya Station makes it super convenient, and there’s plenty of space even when it gets busy. The park is easily accessible via public transportation, with Sakuranomiya Station on the JR Osaka Loop Line being the closest stop. From there, it's a short walk to the park's entrance. The park is open year-round and admission is free, making it a popular spot for both locals and tourists seeking a tranquil escape from the city's hustle and bustle.​

In addition to cherry blossoms, Kema Sakuranomiya Park offers well-maintained walking paths, grassy areas for picnics, and scenic views of the river. During the cherry blossom season, typically in early April, the park becomes a vibrant hub of activity, with food stalls and boat rides enhancing the festive atmosphere.​

Beautiful with sakuras during spring! 🌸 Was there today on a thursday at 1pm+ and was not crowded. It is almost fully bloomed as you can see from my photos.

It was raining almost all day yesterday till night at an area several kilometres from the park so I didn't go and am glad today it still looked lovely! 🌸

There is also a river view and there were food stands. There is also a convenience store right by the station. The toilets are near the entrance if you're coming from the nearest station.

You can bring a picnic mat/portable chair if you'd like to sit there for a long time! :)

Went there again at 7pm+ to see what its like at night, several night stands were still open with people around.

2025.4.5 花見

Secured a good spot around 8:00. Full blossom! There’s a nearby Lawson to buy food but there are also food stalls which opens by 10:00. Small park CR.

Depending on your tarp location, there are beautiful Cherry blossom trees! Many people starts to arrive as noon comes close.

Many activities are done by friends and families under the blanket of Sakura. In my case, I took photos! Truly the spirit of Flower viewing.

Today’s also a bit of a windy day so we see some flower showers 🥰
