Lima51 — Restaurant in San Pedro Sula

I visited this restaurant for the first time about a week ago. I really wish I could remember our waiter's name! All I know is that he was in training. He was very friendly and gave us a great recommendation on what to order. My husband and I ordered shrimp cevichie, fettuccine with shrimp and steak, and Peruvian chicken.

Regarding the food I'll start of by saying that the shrimp in the ceviche tasted so fresh! I loved how clean the shrimp were as well. Very nicely flavored. The fettuccine was by far my FAVORITE dish! It was cooked to perfection! I told the waiter that his only error was not telling me to order two dishes, because I would end up enjoying the rich flavors.

Now the chicken on the other hand was tender and juicy. It also had a decent flavor to it. But I must admit it did not taste NOTHING like Peruvian chicken. It needed more spices and rubs. Peruvian chicken has a very distinctive flavor to it. Although the chicken I ordered had good flavor to it. It tasted more like a rotisserie chicken. (For this reason I did not give them 5 stars.)

With all that said, I look forward in having their pasta before...

Este comentario es varios meses después del que está abajo de éste. Volví a regresar a SPS, y esta vez pedi el Pan con chicharrón, algo bien típico en Lima y Callao. Pero para desgracia lo han alterado de tal manera que no es nada como se prepara en mi pais. Le agregaron lechuga y encutidos de pepino, y el camote parecia casi pintado porque la cantidad que había apenas se veia. Están malogrando el buen nombre de la comida peruana. Cambiense de nombre.

Hace un año, aproximadamente, dejé un comentario sobre éste establecimiento, el cual tuve que borrar para poder escribir éste sobre otra experiencia con otro pedido que hice hoy, ya que Google no permite que la misma persona escriba mas de una vez sobre un local. Estoy pasando de nuevo por SPS y decidí probar de nuevo este local peruano. Mi experiencia esta vez fue con un Risotto a la huancaina, y siendo yo peruano, esperaba algo mas agradable. No me puedo quejar de la calidad y cantidad de la carne y camarón pero lo que si no fué agradable es la salsa a la huancaina que tenía un sabor demasiado fuerte, y aunque vengo de pasar dos meses en Lima, yo me esperaba una salsa similar a la de la papa a la huancaina, un plato bien típico peruano, pero no, no se parecía en lo más mínimo. Aparentemente ya han dejado la cocina a gente local y no hay supervision de los sabores con que salen los platos, y es una verguenza porque la comida peruana es mucho mejor.
