Stayed here for a night on a business trip. Room was noisy from street traffic. Air conditioning was marginal and I still don't understand why they put the heavy down quilts on beds in tropical, warm locations. Makes zero sense. I travel extensively throughout Mexico and also into Costa Rica - this was the first time in Honduras. But hey, Hilton property is a HIlton property - or should be. 2 stars for service and overall simply for the fact they cannot seem to be able to do something simple - like send me a copy of my factura. This applies to Hilton in general as well. I have chatted with Hilton online, I have called Hilton in the US - neither were able to get me a copy. Part of the problem evidently is that they switched the reservation from me having placed it to my business partner. I have called the hotel and was told they would send me a copy - even confirmed by email address. So far, nothing, and I need my receipt for reimbursement from my company. So ya, two stars - and I STILL don't have a copy...
Read moreI had a brief stay here while passing through San Pedro Sula and as a Gold Honors member with Hilton I was able to use the points I had saved up for a free night. The hotel proactively upgraded me to a slightly nicer room (I think?) which I appreciated. The hotel is indeed a bit dated, particularly in the rooms and more so the bathrooms. However, it was overall quite comfortable, clean and safe. The air conditioning was wonderful considering how hot and sticky the city. Employees especially Martin at the front door were quite friendly and helpful. The beds were up to the Hilton standard which are nice--not as good as InterContinental's beds but still very comfortable. The pool area is actually quite pretty and if I was staying there longer I would probably lounge around it--at least for a while before it gets too hot! While the prices are a bit elevated in my opinion and the hotel could use more remodeling or renovations I overall was pleased with my stay and would recommend...
Read moreUnfortunately I expected more because it is a Hilton Hotel, However the bar on the first floor had a very strong smell of dust or like an old place which caused me allergies, the second floor where I had my assigned room same the hallway smell was weird not sure if it is cigar or dirt (Even though it is a non smoking floor). In addition our most critical situation was when my co-workers and I had an skype meeting which we asked at lobby if we could use the business meeting which we saw it was empty, at first they said they had another meeting but that was 4 hours later and we needed it just for two hours so they call Yolanda Guillen and she said if we wanted it it will be double the cost that they have said previously. In other words she prefer to loose the customer and leave the meeting room empty. I would not recommend this hotel for business trips, and in my future visits with my team of Philips and AOC, I will...
