2025 Aug 24th: The coffee I had yesterday was so good so I came back again today. Sunday is quieter than Saturday but still there were reasonal amount of customers scattering around the place. I had a cappuccino with a croissant, and then a Amaricano with a tiramisu. The croissant is properly flaky, buttery and flavored, so tasty that I had to restrain myself from getting another. Cappuccino is silky smooth. Then the Amaricano has the perfect balance of sour and fruity flavour profile, not too strong so you can savour the flavour of the beans properly. The tiramisu is not the traditional one you usually have. This one has no alcohol or biscuit bottom. The base tastes like mixture of sweeten beans or lentils and the body is like coffee flavored mousse and not too wet. I quite like this version because it's not too rich or sweet, almost feels like a healthy option. All in all, hats down to the team. It's great coffee and pastries. 2025 Aug 23rd: The coffee they served is definitely one of the best in Budapest. The beans they used for a cold brew has the right sour taste to add to the refreshness. The cappuccino is silky smooth (but I did add an extra shot to make it stronger). They also served with water so the service is spot on. The matcha cookie is not as buttery and soft as you will get from the UK, but still tasty. Need to try their croissants and flat white next time. And if you look at the price, it's much better than the centre area in the city. And they open on Sunday so you can see the neighbours love them.

Kávé/Szünet is a cozy little café that feels like a true local secret in Budapest. The coffee is excellent, the pastries are fresh and it’s the perfect calm spot to start your day before exploring the city. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly with plenty of space to sit comfortably whether you’re stopping by for a quick break, catching up with a friend or opening your laptop to get some work done. A great hidden corner for travelers who appreciate good coffee and a peaceful vibe away from the tourist crowds.

Such an amazing, cosy cafe. Coffee tastes great, the sweet stuffs are artisan and very tasteful. You can tell that the interior was done by a professional, eveything has its own place, everything is in order. I would say this place is one of the best ones in the area for sure. Well worth a visit, highly recommended.
