Kisvigadó vendéglő — Restaurant in Budapest

I have been coming to Budapest for three years in a row now on vacation, and I always come back to this restaurant. To be honest, whenever I think about Budapest and everything I love about it, I always remind myself of how good the food at Kisvigado is. The service is so warm and friendly, they always seem to find that one last table you could sit at, even though it's almost always crowded. And this is not a tourist spot, no- nearly everyone normally visiting this place is a local. Their prices are great, I feel like I'm eating better here for far less money than I usually do in Belgrade (Even though Belgrade is known for great food). Kisvigado really is a second home to me, since the food reminds me of my grandma's finest cuisine. I'm writing this just after finishing my meal, and I'm now realising I haven't taken any photos to share with you. The food is so good, you'll forget about...

I was there as a part of 7 people group. There was around 20-30 coustomers at the time. Service is not to nice. Although you can speak in english or german with the staff. We ordered some drinks first, and they came quite fast but for the food... We had to wait something like 50min up to hour. I dont remember excactly. It appeard, that some orders were mocked up. Dishes themselves were overcoocked and looked not to fresh. French fries were medium cold, the same with some meat dishes. I dont think that`s the best place in this area. From the upsides, there is a potential in the taste of those dishes, but they have to be freshly made...

The place is one of these small traditional hungarian restaurants. We came at saturday afternoon, the place was quite crowdy. The staff is rather neutral, however during our separate paying i felt that the waiter was a bit frustrated.. The food is quite good in compare to the prices but the time we have to wait was highly unappropiate. Moreover we have notice that all the hungarian customers-the ones who came later than us- got their food before us. After more than one hour of waiting the food was served, soups and mains at the same time 😳 Some of dishes were half-cold. In general - not the best place to feel the nice...
