Unfortunately this place was a huge disappointment. First of all, it is highly overpriced (food is nice but I have had better meals in my life, I don't think the quality justifies the price), secondly, they charge 12% service fee which is completely unreasonable, never seen it in middle-class places in Budapest. On top of everything, we ordered a sandwich point at the small ad board place on our table which said it cost 1900 HUF. Then, to our biggest surprise, we got charged 3900 HUF (only for the sandwhich, which means more than 50% extra than what we were supposed to pay) and when I told the waiter that there was a mistake on the bill, he got confused started muttering that it was a mistake and the real price is 3900 HUF. He quickly returned with another menu from the bar where it did say the price was 3900 HUF. In a place, where the guest is charged 12% service fee, I expect that the waiter informs we when I order the meal (and clearly point at the board where it clearly states the the price of the sandwich is 1900 HUF) that the price is wrong and of course informs us about the real price. If he doesn't do that (let's say he doesn't notice the mistake), I expect that the waiter gives his apologies and quickly corrects the bill and charges as at the price advertised on the board we ordered our sandwich from. (Later of course he talks to management to correct their mistake). Instead of this, he just wanted to prove his truth and asked if we were OK as if we were best friends. Not to mention the lack of tomatoes and lettuce (as it was advertised on the small board) but we decided not to complain about it just because we didn't want to be demanding. In a professional place all these would never happen, especially not in a place where you are not allowed to decide how much tip you leave instead you are charge higher service fee - basically for nothing). I'm sorry but I cannot recommend this place and we'll definitely try to find another place...

First impression: chic and spacious with good lighting, very welcoming. Open kitchen, giving it a dynamic vibe. No place to hang your coats, so we had to use our (comfortable) chairs like high-schoolers in some fast-food joint. Service: prompt and friendly, although for some reason "a glass of wine" did not compute - you have to be specific how many deciliters you want. English menu available. Menu: eclectic, with some creative blending of international cuisine. No chef's special during our visit. Good selection of wine, some craft beers, cocktails, lemonades and such. Food: I ordered the burger. Uninspired and bland. There was no option how you'd like your barely seasoned patty, the bun was too dense and the fries were probably from a deep frozen variety with too much salt. The small "crate" in which the dish was served was actually really functional, a nice idea.

I came for the food, so that's why the rating.

A Pastrami hozza, amit ígér. Az egyedi épület ötletes berendezésével sikerült megteremteniük egy eleven bisztróatmoszférát, ahol a nyitott konyhatér előtt elfér a megdöbbentően jól nevelt dobermann, és a sült krumpliját váró, éhező, már kínjában sétára vitt óvodás gyerek egy négyzetméteren, ahol egyedül, mindenféle szégyenérzet nélkül is leül az ember vacsorázni Valentin napon, mert nem a giccses gyertyafényekről és az erőltetett "szerelemdesszertekről" szól a hely, nem alkalomról alkalomra vergődik a vendég körért, hanem stílust terem és őriz, ahogy azt írja is.

Az étel kínálat rendben van, nem túl hosszú az alap menüsor, ami nagyon pozitív és nem csak a BBQ szekció az egyetlen különlegesség. A húsleves után egyből a Pho a soros, a lazac után kesudiós karfiolkrém jelenik meg a főételek között!, és van még klasszikus beef bourguignon is, amit ritkán látni. Az előétel és desszertszekciót nem csak két tétellel rendezték le, színes választékot kínál még vegán opciókból is. Sajnos az eheti chéf ajánlat kiábrándító volt, unalmas tömegételekkel, de ezzel nem akarom csorbítani az érdemeket.

A kacsamáj mousse elbírt volna még egy kis fűszert, a magyaros beefsteak egy kis savat, de összességében megütötte a szintet, és meglepett az ár/érték arány, mivel rosszabbakat szoktam enni általában drágábbért hasonló éttermekben. Az igazi különlegesség azonban a házi Pastrami szendvics volt, illetve a Hamburger, amit mediumra kértem, és olyanra is kaptam. Mind a két étel hozott meglepetést ízben és állagban is, ami miatt még vissza fogok térni, ötös a séfnek a mustár választásért, illetve a hamburger pogácsa sütési technológiájáért. A tálalás puritán, nincs díszítőelem, a hamburgerbuci úgy néz ki mint egy elütött pogácsa, a paradicsom félig kicsúszva, az adagok hatalmasak, de ez egy bisztró, és így van jól. A somlói galuska már úgy nézett ki, mint amivel tényleg töltöttek időt, viszont ott a tészta állaga nem volt rendben, de a kölyök így is megette a nagy részét, ami viszonylag ritka.

A felszolgálók kedvesek, de semmi extra, annyira nem rugalmasak hogy csirkecomb helyett csirkemellből kérjük a rántott húst nem gyerekmenüben, de tettek szívesen extra csokiszószt és tejszínhabot a somlóira, még ollót is adtak matricázni a gyereknek. A nyitott konyha ellenére nincs kajaszag, csörömpölés, nem Gordon Ramsey futtatja a helyet. A vendégkör vegyes, a hely tágas, a székek kényelmesek, Valentin nap kivételével még gyerek sarok is van. Mi még visszamegyünk. Aki szeretne egy jó bisztrókaját egy hangulatos bisztróban, annak ez a hely ezt hozza. Kifőzde, fine dining, street food és egyéb élményekre pedig ott a Mastercard, amit lehetőleg egy másik ellátóegységben...
