Disappointing Experience – Lack of Empathy and Professionalism

We came to your restaurant to enjoy dinner with our children. After placing our order, our 7-year-old daughter asked for a cheeseburger from the McDonald’s across the street, and we got it for her.

Shortly after, a waiter noticed her eating the cheeseburger and, in a completely unempathetic manner, told us that she wasn’t allowed to eat it at the table. While we understand that restaurants have policies, the way this was communicated showed a total lack of empathy, especially considering this was a young child with a simple wish.

We were shocked by the rigid enforcement of such a rule in a situation involving a small child, and even more so by the waiter’s dismissive attitude. There was no effort to show understanding or hospitality — qualities we expect from any professional staff in the service industry.

We ultimately decided to leave, deeply disappointed by how we were treated. What should have been a pleasant family evening turned into a frustrating experience. Unfortunately, we will not...

This was an unexpected experience. As the establishment is located in the center of the city, my expectation was that it's for tourists - price and food wise. I was wrong. We arrived late and with no reservation. We were greeted friendly and received a table with no problems. I have to say that Hungarians have great respect for food. The food there was awesome. Everything we ordered tasted exceptional. The fish soup was absolutely amazing. Everything esle the same. The service was great as well. The atmosphere is classy and tasteful. I would highly recommend this for at least a visit to any of my friends. Price wise, we were amazed that we could dine in the city center, in a pleasant atmosphere, eat exceptional food, and have great tasting food and drinks for about 20 eur per person. Awesome! There is limited choice of refined restaurants in Szeged, Concept is exceptional for the town. The food is exceptional for a decent price. The staff is extremely kind and gives good advises on the vine card. We had a duck liver terrine as a starter, very tasty with confit d'oignon and then the confit duck leg and a Hungarian beef stew, both delicious and freshly made. We came back few days later as it was excellent, and had again duck liver, ribeye stake and Transilvanian cabbage. Everything was perfect as first time. The restaurant is also cute and comfortable.
