We had just started our trip in Iceland, and pulled into Pallet (embarrassingly a few minutes before they opened) and waited to experience our first flavor of Iceland- and just wow, we were created with a cozy coffee shop, with this amazing smell wafting from the kitchen. Unsure what to order a wonderful man behind the counter exclaimed the scones were fresh out of the oven and they had their clotted cream and strawberry jam to go with it. The choice was then obvious, excited and giddy we patiently waited and first came our our decadent coffees, mine was a deconstructed americano- which meant I added the water and cream and just wow! And then the scones, and oh my gosh, he explained how to properly eat, first wondering why so much clotted cream, and then we each polished ours off! We chased that coffee and scone all week, and I honestly don’t know what could possibly top that! We wished we had time to return....

I LOVE this place. My local friend took me to visit, as he'd told me about the incredible coffee and the adorable couple who own it and I wanted to see it for myself (both are true!).

Upon arrival, we ordered coffee and also one sandwich (I didn't think originally that the sandwiches looked that good). When it came, toasted and served beautifully with homemade onion jam, and smelling gorgeous, we had to order another one. Really tasty, one of the best I've ever had.

The coffee was also superb. And when you finish it, you can have as much filter coffee as you wish, so it's actually good value for money.

People keep mentioning the prices but to be honest, it's Iceland. Maybe, coming from another Nordic country, I thought the prices were fine. These people need to make a living! Can't wait to visit Iceland again and come back to...

Best customer service I've witnessed so far in a cafe in the capital area and I've been to a lot of cafes around here. I love checking out new cafes.

This cafe is quite far away from where I live but I'll be going out of my way to go back here due to the quaint decor, super coffee and homemade treats and the fantastic customer service.

The staff were so kind and welcoming and took an extra interest in customers, that is very rare, by checking in and seeing if everything was ok and opening a friendly conversation on arrival to explain everything they had to offer. They also offered me and my friend some complimentary filtered coffee once we finished our lattes.

10 out of 10 - I couldn't fault it. If anyone wants to open a cafe or improve their own - check out...

My friends and I haven't been able to stop talking about this place! We came here early in the AM after our redeye flight and promise that it kickstarted our great Iceland trip/experience. You walk into a warm cozy atmosphere and are greeted with the smells of fresh coffee and freshly baked pastries, then to top it all off the service is even better. David made us feel extremely welcome and walked us through the menu, we ended up getting the bread, cheese, and jam (a classic) and I’ve been dreaming about it ever since. What’s better than hot bread right out of the oven? The pay as you feel program is an awesome concept. I can’t recommend this place enough!!!
