To begin with, I live in Ásbru so I'm most greatfull that a place like this opened up and I support them with all my heart. We ordered Cheesburger, deli sandwich and kids pizza. Everything was very tasty, portions proper so we left defintelly full. Fair price if you compare to what you can get at other places in Keflavik. What draws attetion from first sight is the attention to style and decorations. Place is real good looking and adequate for a business lunch, coffe meeting etc. Well done kids corner is a real blessing so definitely a good place to go to with kids. Small grocery store with basics and typical "evening cravings" is also such a life saver for people living in the area. Again everything really neatly lined up on shelves, clearly well thought merchendising. If I have any constructive criticizm that would be picking up food by yourself. Seems strange in such a fancy looking place. However I assume it's a beginning and the owner plays a bit safe with hiring staff. Otherwise when we picked up food it was maybe not cold but it was just warm. It was our first time there so I wouldn't give bad points for it, but if the owner reads it, then It might be just something to look at if it doesn't happen more often. In general 5/5, keep it up, I can 100% recommend and will...
Read moreA very atmospheric place on the map of Keflavik. Local friendly to the eye. Food quite good and there is a lot to choose from. We can try several types of local beer. At some hours it is hard to get free tables (lunch hours and in the evenings). Unfortunately, the prices are huge, even for Iceland! We got scammed twice. Namely, on the website there was information that at certain times there is a so-called Happy hour. On site it turned out that the staff knew nothing about it and counted at normal prices. Even after asking the supervisors, who denied the information from the website.
There is a store on the same premises, which is also friendly to the eye. The whole place is very nicely decorated. Unfortunately, here the prices are among the highest in Iceland. This is probably because there is no competition on Asbru and this is the only establishment on this estate.
All in all, a nice, clean and atmospheric place, but terribly expensive. In downtown Keflavik you can eat and drink beer at lower prices.
Also, minus for misleading people with...

Stopped over for lunch twice within a week during our Iceland trip. An amazing place with super delish food. We had the chicken burger and the fish & chips on our first visit. Both were amazing. For the first time in my life I tasted fried fish that didn't have the off putting 'seafood smell'. The burger was juicy n the sweet potato fries were a nice surprise. On the second visit we had the dudo bread (calzone) and Belgian waffle. Hands down the best calzone ever (my wife's words)... The chef for sure knows how to put on a show in a plate. Gourmet level presentation on every dish that we ordered. It has a cozy setup which is both modern n welcoming at the same time. N something a lot of restaurants neglect, the restroom, was well maintained, smelled wonderful n elegantly decorated. Lastly, want to mention the amazing staff... Both times we were welcomed with a big smile by these wonderful ladies who tell u everything that u need to know. Such lovely staff, food n place. 100% recommended...
