If I could provide a worst rating for my experience at this establishment, I would - unacceptable.

Story: As my partner and I both have over a decade of serving experience in the past, we are extremely empathetic to serving staff (We're patient, polite and over-tip). There were 6 tables in the whole restaurant with 4 tables finishing up their meals @ 8:35pm. A server greeted us and took our order (Rib Rack & Calamari), but told by our server to grab our own water; while other tables were greeted with glasses and water. Then we grabbed our own utensils after waiting 20 minutes. Waiting patiently for another 25 minutes (~9:25pm), our server was no where to be found. The manager on duty was looking at us oddly for 30 minutes without doing a quality check. When we politely asked the manager on duty in regards to our order, since we saw another table who arrived after us but receive their food before us, he looked puzzled. He informed us that the kitchen has been closed since 9:00pm and that there was no order punched in. The manager talked to the chef and was informed they could only make us deep fried items (fish&chips, calamari, etc) as the whole kitchen was cleaned/closed. After discussing my displeasure to the manager, he tried his best to remedy the problem and apologize for the other waiter. They offered us "free calamari" by 9:45pm. He suggested to go to another restaurant a couple blocks down which their kitchen closed in 15 minutes.

Needless to say, we went to our hotel hungry.

In all my experiences in the restaurant industry (eating, serving or bartending), I have never been treated so poorly. This incident unfortunately will always be a splinter in the amazing adventures/memories I've...

I would like to write something nice but unfortunately I have no reason to do so. I should start by saying that me and my boyfriend waited almost 15 minutes for a waiter even though there weren't many people in the restaurant. two customers got their dishes before us even though they came much later. we didn't even get drinks after ordering. only when, after a long time, the waiter came with the meal and I asked why he didn't bring us a drink, he didn't even apologize, he just started laughing and said that he forgot. I'll comment on my dish because boyfriend's dinner was decent. I ordered fried calamari in batter with salad and fries, starting with the fries they were soft, soaked in fat and very bad, the salad is a mockery a few lettuce leaves, some grated carrots and a few bits of onion, not to mention no sauce or even oil. When it comes to calamari, I've never had worse ones in my life, they were hard and rubbery because they were raw, and the dough was soaked in fat like fries and undercooked and raw inside, no spices, it was impossible to eat it, so I left my plate almost full. When I went to pay and told about the situation, the waiter said that I should come right away and then they could do something with this dish, and since I'm talking about it only now, "he can kindly charge us a symbolic discount". I honestly didn't know whether to laugh or cry. the waiter counted about a 5% discount without even apologizing for serving me a raw and inedible dish. in general, the attitude of the waiter was reprehensible, the attitude towards us as customers without any culture and respect. we will definitely never go there again, especially since it is one of such unpleasant situations...

Would not recommend. My party of three ordered one pizza and one nacho plate. After waiting 45 minutes for our food and watching other tables get their pizzas and fries before us, we asked what was taking so long. The waitress had no idea what we were talking about so she went to check with the kitchen. When she returned, she said that all pizzas were made but that the nachos were not ready due to the grill food taking longer than pizza. I asked why other parties that arrived much later than us got their pizza and fries before us but she said she did not know. About 10 minutes later (58 minutes after ordering) we received one pizza and one plate of nachos. Very confused why nachos would hold up the order when they delivered chips from a bag, salsa from a jar, sour cream from the fridge, and a cheese sauce that was warm but wouldn’t need more than a few minutes to heat up. The food was fine but not worth a 58 minute wait. Unfortunately there is not much in the area so this seems like the only option for dinner. Would try to avoid this place as best...

Pizza is FANTASTIC here! We heard rave reviews about this cafe so we popped in for dinner Great atmosphere and friendly, great service. The pizza is FANTASTIC. I had Hawaiian and it was really really ooey, gooey good! A perfect balance of toppings and delicious homemade crust. Yum! I'd suggest skipping the pasta and burgers though. The tomato relish made the Original Burger so soggy that when it arrived at our table that it eroded into a wet mess. My son ate it anyways but he isn't a fan of soggy anything. (Maybe the cook was new? Other people loved the burgers???? 🤷 It got very busy so could be an anomaly?) The fettuccine Alfredo was not a cream sauce consistency. Watery and bland and not cooked properly. The noodles were not cooked through. Broccoli was overcooked. 🤷 Go for the pizza! No complaints with that! It's licensed and the beer was cold. 👍 The staff were friendly and efficient. 👍

We arrived at 8:58 PM with our family, including young children. The staff welcomed us, handed us the menu, and we were ready to order. But as soon as we began speaking, they abruptly said the kitchen was closed. It was literally 8:59 — not even 9:00 yet. This wasn’t just about the time. The problem is that they let us in, seated us, gave us menus — and then, without warning, turned us away in front of our kids. We were stunned. It’s obvious these are employees with zero ownership or hospitality. No one who cares about a business — especially one in a country that relies on tourism — would ever treat international guests this way. We’ve traveled all over Iceland and have always been treated with warmth and respect. This was the complete opposite. The owners should seriously reconsider how their staff interacts with guests. You don’t treat families this way — ever. Shameful.
