On our way from Sellfoss to the airport we went along the coast to avoid the traffic. It took a little longer, but we found this place along the way. It's a great place to stop for a sub. It's sort of like a convince store with a sandwich/crepe statio in it. A few locals came in to pick stuff up and seemed to know the staff. So, the 5 stars for atmosphere is because it seems like a place everyday people go and that's cool.
The guy who helped us was very nice. He asked me what kind of sandwich I wanted. I said "salami", then "you pick the sauce whatever you think would be good". Then he just ran with it after that. I think he really enjoyed making something up for me. He'd put stuff on, then take it off, then put something else on. He'd run to the fridge and get something (I think plain skyr). I ordered a soft serve ice cream in a small cup (isiboxi) with some toppings, and she had something similar to a dairy queen blizzard, but better.
They would do 3 scoops each of 3 toppings, so it was thick like a blizzard but definitely more densely packed with toppings.
