One of the best meals and dessert we had in Iceland. Incredibly delicious meal right next to the Grindavik campsite. Loved the authentic-feeling fish restaurant and decor located next to the water, gave me old-timey nostalgic vibes. Ordered a fish I hadn't heard of, placie fish (gruff looking owner told me good choice, which is always a good sign) and fish balls. Both were delicious. The cake was amazing as well (top left white cake in photo and caramel apple pie were so good) so make sure to leave room for that as well. Would love to return next time in Iceland.

Found this cozy place by chance and I couldn't be more susprised! The most fresh fish in Iceland, straight from the fishing boats below. You could almost taste the Atlantic waves!! Great location as well, only 10 minutes from the blue lagoon, affordable prices and a view towards the ocean! Lovely place reminded me warm Sundays of my childhood. Totally recommend! I believe it has a hotel too. Worth stopping by!

Love this grandma and grandpa run establishment. You might be tempted to go to the other seafood place that doesn’t have an Icelandic name. Don’t. This place has authentic local seafood. Support this family run business. The lobster was fresh and sweet. The pan fried placie (No 4) is the best fish you will have in Iceland. Get the wedding cake for dessert. It’s homemade and great!

Celebrated my birthday with amazing friends at Blue lagoon. We were hungry and found this place online. We headed there because it was the nearest restaurant and had 1 1/2 hrs left before it closed. When we arrived, they had closed early due to extreme weather conditions. We were about to leave, but Olaf (not his real name but it sounds like it) reopened the restaurant and kitchen just for us! Had the best fish and chips! Olaf found out it was my birthday and came out of the kitchen with a chocolate cake singing happy birthday in Icelandic! Also brought out shots of Opal! He shared stories from his years as a Captain. Who could ask for more? Undoubtedly, the best...
