Absolutely Disgusting Experience – Tourists Beware!
I had the unfortunate experience of visiting this restaurant last weekend, based on a recommendation from a car driver arranged by our travel agency for an Agra city tour. Despite noticing its mediocre 3-star rating on Google, I decided to give it a chance—sometimes even places with poor ambience serve good food. But what I encountered was beyond unacceptable.
The restaurant was filthy—possibly the dirtiest and most unhygienic place I’ve ever stepped into. The so-called order manager was extremely pushy. He didn’t let us go through the menu properly and kept trying to manipulate us into ordering certain items. Shockingly, he took the menu card away just minutes after handing it to us, and placed an order totaling around Rs. 5000 for 5 adults and 3 children—without clearly informing or getting our proper consent.
Suspicious of the situation, I walked over to the cash counter to get a copy of the menu again and was shocked to see the absurd prices—around Rs. 850 for Chicken 65 and Rs. 850 for Chicken Korma, in a restaurant that looked like a health hazard. This place is clearly running a scam targeting new tourists.
Realizing we had been misled, we immediately asked to cancel the order—barely two minutes had passed—and began to walk out. The staff seemed unfazed, suggesting this is a regular trap. To make things worse, the car driver who recommended this place started arguing with me for walking out, clearly upset that his under-the-table commission was lost.
This is nothing short of a tourist scam. I strongly urge all visitors to Agra to avoid this restaurant at all costs. Also, do not blindly trust your travel agency’s drivers—many of them seem to be in on these kinds of schemes to exploit tourists.
I don't find 0 (ZERO) rating hence...

We visited Delhi Darbar Restaurant during our trip to Delhi and had one of the worst dining experiences ever — rude staff, bad food, zero service, and no sense of hospitality.
We ordered naan, butter naan, biryani (which was extremely oily — I ordered it for my 3-year-old who wanted rice), chicken gravy, and tandoori chicken. The food was not just bad — it tasted and looked like leftovers.
They didn’t even give us a menu. When I asked for it and checked the menu book myself, it was completely empty!
The waiter — a short, fat guy — spoke in a very disrespectful tone, saying things like: "Chicken curry ke saath kya dal khaoge!" Totally unprofessional and rude.
When we brought all this to the notice of the person who seemed to be the owner sitting at the entrance, he just smiled and casually said, "Hojayga hojayga" — no apology, no solution, nothing. Clearly, they don’t care at all about customer feedback.
After checking reviews, we realized this place is often recommended by auto/taxi drivers — it’s clearly part of a tourist scam. We came all the way from Hyderabad, and trust me, we know what real biryani and good food tastes like — this place doesn’t come close.
To anyone who questions this — I have the bill, and I stand by every word.
A first-time visit turned into a horrible memory for my family. Do NOT waste your time...
Read moreIt's popular because a lot of autorickshaw guys suggest you to come here for food specially after Taj Mahal or Agra Fort visit as it is near to them but it is not worth it.
The atmosphere is good and the restaurant feels good and not cheap but the food is a little expensive. Every item is expensive for the quantity. They have different tables with 4 chair sitting, 6 chair sitting and long table combined sitting for individuals.
Other than that, the food wasn't that great at all, the spices were not balanced and the dish didn't taste as it should be. There are sockets near the tables so you can charge your phone.
Regarding service, I would say it is good, they come to ask you to the table every few minutes if you need something but they do hurry up to ask you to order as soon as you come and sit while checking the menu. When we went there, it wasn't even 5 minutes and the staff (one guy specifically) came thrice just to ask us what we wanted to order and started suggesting his own suggestions for the special costly dishes they have even though we had asked for a few minutes to let us decide once what we needed.
Also, you may not get breakfast items like parathas and other things if you come during lunch or dinner time. They are only available in morning time as...
