Priya Restaurant — Restaurant in Agra

I've honestly had better North Indian and Mughlai food in the US. I ordered (with recommendation) of Chicken Boti Masala because it wasn't too spicy. It was fairly spicy, and something was off with the chicken. It was hard, and had an aftertaste, yuck. I seriously never ask for something to be replaced, but my aunt did for me (I just said forget it and let's eat veg only). The second one as well was bad. The meat wasn't cleaned properly so there were hard parts and tendons. Don't say you serve Mughlai food when you can't even get your chicken to taste good, that's a basic. Get halal chicken at least, and use fresh meat! Not day-old meat.

Secondly, the daal makhani was tasteless. And the Malai Kofta was a strange texture- as in the cream hadn't been mixed in properly and therefore curdled. Fix the food, please. Ambiance means nothing if the food...

This restaurant is appealing from outside but when you enter and take food your all expectations vanish: The Waiters flock on to the foriegners to serve ignoring the indian visitors. The waiting time is more then expected even when the restaurant is empty with 02/3 small family We were surprised to see the proportion of the dishes, it is too small, just like a small bowl for 01 person in comparison to the rates mentioned in the menu. Nowhere in Agra you will see such small bowls. Maybe it is just to befool foriegners. The rates are exorbitantly high in comparison to the proportion of eatables they are offering. All the dishes are just normal in preparation, presentation and servings. The only advantage they are encashing is...

Was initially taken here for lunch by our Guide when on a day tour of Agra. Food was good, service was good, and of course the price was good. Coincidentally it was just down the road from where we were staying, so instead of eating at our hotel, we chose to come back again that same evening under our own steam.

The downside was that it was quiet... in fact we ended up being the only people in there! The food was again really tasty though, and we really couldn't fault the service.

So left reviews on both Google and Trip Advisor to reassure anyone who is thinking of trying this restaurant that they should feel comfy to do so.

Our Guide by the way mentioned to us that a lot of locals use this place too - which we saw was the case...
