I booked a dinner for 13 people on May 13, 2024, at 8:30 PM. What followed was an overwhelmingly frustrating and disappointing experience that left us feeling entirely disregarded as customers.
Upon arrival, we encountered an unacceptable delay of 15 to 20 minutes just to serve the starters. This initial setback was merely a precursor to the series of issues that marred our evening.
Despite our explicit and repeated requests to serve only non-vegetarian items, we were incessantly pressured to accept vegetarian dishes. It felt as though our preferences and instructions were being deliberately ignored. After multiple insistences and a considerable amount of frustration, the staff finally began serving the non-vegetarian items we had requested from the outset. This unnecessary back-and-forth wasted precious time and set a negative tone for the meal.
The service was abysmally slow, with excessive delays between servings that stretched to almost 15 minutes each time. This appeared to be a deliberate tactic, causing significant disruption to our dining experience. The portions of the starters that eventually arrived were insultingly small, compelling us to repeatedly request additional servings. Each request was met with more delays and indifferent responses from the staff. By the end of the evening, many of the items we had asked for multiple times were never served at all, leaving us feeling shortchanged and dissatisfied.
Compounding the issue was the relentless pressure to order beverages. Despite clearly stating that we were not interested in ordering drinks, the staff persisted, creating an uncomfortable and pressurized atmosphere. This aggressive upselling was not only unwelcome but also deeply irritating, further detracting from our enjoyment of the meal.
Overall, the experience was marred by poor service, disregard for customer preferences, and an apparent lack of concern for delivering a satisfactory dining experience. The persistent delays, inadequate portions, and aggressive upselling tactics were completely unacceptable and left a lasting negative impression. This dinner, meant to be an enjoyable occasion, turned into a series of aggravations that overshadowed...
Read moreBarbeque Nation in Visakhapatnam is one of the most popular buffet-style restaurants in the city, and after visiting, I can see why it attracts such a crowd. Located in Siripuram and Gajuwaka, the outlet offers the brand’s signature live-grill-on-table concept, unlimited starters, a wide buffet spread, and desserts that leave you spoiled for choice.
The ambience is pleasant and lively, making it perfect for families, groups of friends, or celebrations. The staff usually go the extra mile to make guests comfortable, and they often arrange small surprises like cakes or songs for birthdays and anniversaries. Service is generally attentive, although during peak hours, you might notice some delays as the restaurant gets quite busy. Reserving in advance helps avoid long waits.
Food is the highlight here, especially the starters. The live grill serves an endless supply of kebabs, tikkas, prawns, chicken wings, and vegetarian options like paneer, mushrooms, and baby corn. Most of the starters are flavorful, and the staff happily customize spice levels to your liking. The main course is decent but not as impressive as the starters. Some dishes can feel repetitive or a little bland compared to the freshly grilled items. The dessert counter, however, makes up for it, with options like kulfi, cakes, pastries, and Indian sweets. The live counters for chaats and special dishes are also a good addition.
Pricing feels fair for non-vegetarians who get a wide range of options, though vegetarians may find the variety slightly limited for the same cost. Drinks are usually charged extra, so the final bill can go higher if you add beverages.
Overall, Barbeque Nation in Vizag is a fun dining experience—great for variety, celebrations, and value for groups. It is not perfect, but if you go with the right expectations, it rarely...
Read moreToday on the occasion of my anniversary visited this place. Place is small and decent not over decorated. After enquiring about our choice of veg or non veg they firstly started serving all veg starters and bun not sure why may be they want us to eat less non veg. The grill seamed as if it was heated to make the customer feel so but within few minutes it was cold, even after requesting for prawns the staff kept filling chicken and fish only not sure why. But after repeated requests finally got our hands on prawns. Overall starters were okish. Next the staff suggested of lot of options in main course so we wanted taste them, started with butter chicken and fish curry, both are ver blend and very less pieces in display so asked staff to refill and second round saw they are still empty so tried mutton Rogan Josh and chicken biryani which is very bad option i choose, mutton not at all cooked, biryani overcooked spoiled the goodness of starters so reported the same to staff but no response. So moved to next option. Dessert - started with kheer which is the worst i had in my life. Pastry- they served pineapple and chocolate they were decent. Fruit Custard - only flavour no fruits not sure why. Rasgulla mini- good but very sweetish. Gulab jamun - good. Brownie- very dry Kulfi - good. We saw they serve chilli chicken in the last so asked for one surprisingly it tasted very good, also dahi Puri was so good. On total for 4 members we paid around 3400. Definitely not worth is what we felt, would we revisit definitely never. Also recommend not to take to this place the kids chair they provide is torn and had lot of dirt tried cleaning it myself but no use it's...
