I want to rate this place one star, because the biryani rice was good ignoring the mutton which is tough n not soft takes some time to chew and swallow.
Why I rate this only one star ?
1.Waiting time is long After long waiting time finally got the table we seated with family, it took 8 mins for food to arrival at table. After we started eating food within 15-20 mins restaurant staff were bit pushy to vacate the table, in the sense they stared giving rasam which is consumed really at end of meal much earlier and they provided finger bowl too, we have not even completed our half of meal which we ordered and then immediately they provided bill, they hotel management and staff were walking around staring at our plates too making us very uncomfortable so somehow they want to push us, inspite of paying bill of 1500+ 4.Even through briyani was good but the mutton was though to eat it was not soft, same with chicken kababs, it takes some time to chew and eat it, staff was too pushy to complete and hurrying us. Hotel management should provide more tables or take less customer with pre appointments.
I don't recommend you to visit this restaurant in person, it's not having the atmosphere to enjoy your meal, instead it feels like you are animal and have to complete whatever you have ordered in 15-20mins. If you have never eaten a biryani in your life you might like this environment but for me i think i definitely have...
Read moreThe food is typically Karnataka style and very tasty. One must try their Mutton Biriyani and also try a variety of other dishes like mutton chops, keema with ragi ball and many more dishes. Idli, dosa mutton paya is available for breakfast.
The ambience is very basic, service is good though not professionals, prices are okay an average spending of Rs. 300/- approximately per person if you are having 2 variety dishes, it's usually crowded during lunch time but it is worth waiting. Overall conclusion is it is worth a try. i love this place beyond reason. the food is just too good. you cant stop eating. whenever we have folks visiting us we take them here to try out the rustic flavours of bangalore and karnataka. have been multiple time with friends family and all have fallen in love with the food. the service is quick, though it is crowded most of the times. must try - kaima dry, kaima fry, mutton nalli, egg chilli, biryani, biryani rice.....and you must must definitely have the rasam after the food.
I love this place for its biriyani ! Not heavily spiced but definitely can tickle your taste buds. The owners of the hotel have tried to maintain its decade old look but have made sure the taste hasn't changed. Try their other varieties from the menu like dry cheema balls, ragi balls, lever fry. Overall, this is the place to go for if you are around Mahalakshmi...
Read moreHad visit for a lunch with my family ( 3 of us ) where the waiting time for seat is close to 20-30 minutes during peak hours on weekend.
The service was faster for items like biriyani and starters as usual takes little time. The taste and quality of the food is worth the wait.
I tried the following my menu, biriyani was awesome ( they serve half-biriyani also), mutton fry ( good quality of mutton) , chicken kabab was very crispy and kids would love it.
I have some other items during my previous visit like egg kheema fry , boti fry. It is pakka natti style...
