Ambara Gardenia — Restaurant in Bengaluru

Restaurant is awesome. Interiors are great, food is too good. BUT THE SUPPORT STAFF IS LITERALLY INEFFECIENT IN HANDLING CUSTOMERS.

BAD EXP is when I Ordered 1 chkn thali and mtn biryani - dine in for 2 - upon asking, the guy served 2-4 spoons biryani to the thali consumer(my wife)- later when I asked to serve some white rice to me in return - he went to ask his supvsor- that CLEVER/CUNNING supervsr literally denied the guy saying TELL THEM sharing is not allowed even if they are wife n husband. Instead they want to serve the person who didn't liked the taste of chicken gravy which has loads of mustard in it. They are in turn spying on customers LITERALLY on what and how they are eating especially on full meals, thalis. Instead of feeling ashamed and sorry when asked why did the same guy has not objected sharing biryani, they are into argument. The serving guy later came to me inspire of his sups denial offering some rice as grace, I felt pity on him and denied. His job would have been in stake if was at my side in that argument.

The owner should have appointed some customer oriented managers n supervsrs when dealing public at large.

Did outdoor catering from Ambara gardenia for around 100 pax..food in restaurant is good but outdoor catering is not good at all... The food given for tasting inside restaurent was far different from catering service. Ex. We had selected harabhara kabab for outdoor catering and it was served with cashew but in catering service it was delivered without cashews, with no proper filling and without chutney, how someone is supposed to eat it!!! This is only one example but food is not upto the mark in catering. Extra money charged during catering which wasn't discussed. Added 2000 Rs by hotel management in the name of catering boys!!! We discussed to provide chafing food( live fire) which is a buffet service however to save money by hotel, food was provided in tiffin and that was how it was served. We have been charged for buffet service but they did it like tiffin service. I don't think they can handle 100 pax catering service. In the desert, we had chosen ice cream and it was brought without any thermo protection or freezer bags Complete ice cream was melted and tasted like froth.

So overall not recommended for...

Biryani rice was dry and didn't taste anything like a biryani. Been to countless Andra restaurants but this is plain bad. The dry long grain rice almost made me choke.

Chicken lollipop barely had any chicken on it. It was a friend dough stick. Whatever little meat in the lollipop was discoloured and chicken meat was like toothbrush fibre strands.

In the lemon chicken, the meat seemed fresh but there wasn't any lemon flavour at all except the colour.

Raitha was okay compared to the rest. The Gravy was the worst of them all. It had a mangoey flavour. Never ordering again.

The breakfast on the other hand was good. Dosas were small but good The puttu was good but not close to authentic Kerala style. Kadala curry and coconut chutney was okay, egg curry was good. Sambhar had a weird rasam minty flavour which was the first time I've tasted such a prep.

The restaurant is confused between being an Andra and Chinese cuisine restaurant.
