We recently visited Amber's Bakehouse for lunch, and we were immediately charmed by the vibrant yet cozy atmosphere, which provided a comforting escape just steps away from the bustling Horamavu street.

We also learned that they specialize in wedding cakes, and with our big day approaching, we decided to inquire about a custom two-tier cake. After selecting a flavor combination that perfectly suited my fiancé and me, we shared our design ideas with the host, who took the time to walk us through various seasonal decoration options and the logistics of ensuring our cake would arrive fresh and on time for our cake-cutting moment.

YUM! From the moment I entered and took a look at the menu I was truly amazed at the mere variety you can expect here. I’d ordered a berry shake, a tenderloin steak and wanted to give their one of a kind ice cream donut a try of course. The berry shake tasted fresh and had a great thick consistency, that’s definitely what I wanted and it slapped 🥳 The tenderloin steak with mushroom sauce was super tender and was cooked so brilliantly I didn’t require a steak knife to piece it through, definitely coming back for another one asap. The donut ice cream was quite a new sensory overload for my taste buds as it has a sweet and savoury balance I don’t usually see restaurants trying to pull off which they nailed quite perfectly. Amber's bakehouse got me out of my everything-tastes-the-same rut. I used to enjoy eating out, but for a while every other dish tasted the same, with nothing standing out or being memorable. On Christmas Eve, I ordered their coq au vin three-course meal. It is now January, and I'm still thinking about it. It was wonderfully prepared with the best ingredients, like the person making it genuinely wanted you to have an incredible experience. And I did.
