A Disastrous Food Experience. My Adive BIG NO I recently had the misfortune of hosting a party at a supposedly reputable restaurant, and I must say that the food experience was nothing short of disastrous. From the moment I entered the premises, it became apparent that this so-called party was a far cry from what I had expected. First and foremost, the service was abysmal. The staff seemed completely disinterested in providing even the most basic level of customer service. Guests were left waiting for ages before anyone bothered to serve food. Our requests for more staff and higher quality food were completely ignored, leaving us feeling ignored and frustrated. Now, let's talk about the food. It was an absolute train wreck. The appetizers were served lukewarm, and they tasted as though they had been sitting under a heat lamp for hours. The main courses were equally disappointing. The meat was overcooked and tough, and the accompanying side dishes were bland and uninspiring. It was evident that little care had been taken in the preparation of the food, and the lack of attention to detail was truly disheartening. To add insult to injury, the presentation of the dishes was lackluster. They lacked any artistic flair or creativity, appearing as though they had been carelessly slapped together without any thought or effort. It was clear that the kitchen staff had little pride in their work, and their lackadaisical approach was reflected in the unappetizing appearance of the dishes. Furthermore, the ambiance of the restaurant was far from enjoyable. The noise level was deafening, making it nearly impossible to have a conversation without shouting. Despite multiple requests, the DJ failed to turn up, and the random music being played only added to the overall noise and chaos. In conclusion, my experience at this restaurant party was an utter disappointment. The lackluster service, poorly prepared and presented food, and unpleasant ambiance made it clear that this establishment falls far short of its purported reputation. I would strongly advise anyone considering hosting a party or dining at this restaurant to think twice and look elsewhere for a more enjoyable and...

Read moreI recently visited Big Barrel Brew on Dr. Vishnuvardhan Rd, and I have to say, it’s quickly becoming one of my favorite spots in Bengaluru for craft beer and food pairings. The ambiance is cozy yet vibrant, perfect for a relaxed evening or a catch-up with friends.
I started my meal with their signature Pork Belly Sliders, which were juicy, tender, and perfectly caramelized — the smoky sweetness paired beautifully with their Barrel-Aged IPA, which had a crisp bitterness that cut through the richness of the pork. The IPA’s floral hops added a nice contrast to the caramelized glaze.
Next up was the Truffle Parmesan Fries, an absolute must-try. The earthiness of the truffle combined with the sharp parmesan made each bite addictive. To complement this, I tried their Belgian Witbier, which offered subtle citrus and coriander notes that balanced the fries without overpowering them.
For the main course, I opted for the Slow-Cooked Lamb Shank. The meat was fall-off-the-bone tender, infused with a rich, savory gravy that hinted at rosemary and garlic. I paired this with their Robust Porter, whose chocolate and coffee undertones enhanced the deep flavors of the lamb.
Another standout dish was the Spicy Chicken Wings — crispy on the outside, juicy inside, with a fiery, tangy sauce that had a perfect kick. To temper the heat, I went for their Honey Blonde Ale, a smooth, slightly sweet brew that mellowed the spice without losing its character.
Lastly, I tried the Mushroom & Spinach Flatbread, which was light yet flavorful with a creamy garlic sauce base and fresh herbs. It paired excellently with their Citrus Pale Ale, which added a refreshing zest that lifted the earthy mushrooms.
Overall, Big Barrel Brew offers an impressive lineup of house-brewed beers and a thoughtfully curated menu that really knows how to complement each brew. The service was attentive, and the vibe casual yet stylish. If you love craft beer and hearty, flavorful food, this place is definitely...
