The food at Andhra Vilas tastes good, but I strongly advise against using their catering services for your events. Hereâs why:
High Cost: The catering service is expensive, charging âš450 per plate for the items listed on the menu. Additional Charges: Porter fees are extra, and we were required to pay an additional âš700 for each server. I've never encountered this in Bangalore, where customers have to bear the cost of food transportation and pay extra for servers, especially on top of an already high per plate cost. For context, the distance between the restaurant and our venue was just 7 km. Late Delivery: We requested food delivery by 11:30 AM for a small naming ceremony, but the food didnât arrive until 12:30 PM, keeping our guests waiting. Quantity Issues: We ordered Biryani and Tamarind rice, but while the Biryani was plentiful, the Tamarind rice was served in very small portions, more like temple prasad. The insufficient quantity of Tamarind rice and Carrot Halwa led to a argument with the hotel owner, who claimed that the second flavored rice is always provided in smaller quantitiesâ we were not informed of during the order placement. This ruined our event. Poor Customer Service: After the function, due to the inadequate quantity of Tamarind rice and the sweet, and the fact that our event was spoiled despite spending a significant amount, we requested a reduction in the final bill. The owner refused to adjust the price and even threatened us as they are from real estate background. They dont care about customer...

Rating: âââââ (5/5)
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Andhra Vilas, and the experience was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I stepped in, the warm and inviting atmosphere set the tone for what would be an unforgettable culinary journey.
The star of the show was undoubtedly the chicken dishes. Each bite was a burst of authentic Andhra flavors that danced on my taste buds. The succulent chicken was perfectly marinated and cooked to perfection, showcasing the culinary expertise of the chefs at Andhra Vilas. The spice levels were spot-on, offering a tantalizing heat that enhanced the overall taste without overpowering it. The Gongura Chicken was a particular standout, with its tangy and spicy profile that left me craving for more.
The service and hospitality were simply mind-blowing. The staff at Andhra Vilas went above and beyond to ensure that every guest felt welcome and attended to. They were knowledgeable about the menu and provided excellent recommendations based on our preferences. It was evident that they took pride in their work, as their genuine smiles and attentive service added an extra layer of warmth to the dining experience.
The ambiance of Andhra Vilas was comfortable and inviting. The decor was a blend of traditional Andhra elements with a modern touch, creating a pleasant and visually appealing setting. The seating arrangements allowed for both intimate gatherings and larger groups, making it suitable for various...
Read moreVisited Andhra Vilas in HSR Layout recently and felt the experience was quite average overall. While the meals were goodâespecially the standard Andhra thali which was reasonably priced and satisfyingâthe rest of the food left us unimpressed.
A friend ordered biryani and kebab, and both turned out to be underwhelming. The biryani lacked the expected depth of flavor and aroma, and the kebabs were a bit dry and didnât feel freshly made. Definitely not up to the mark if youâre coming in with high expectations for Andhra-style non-veg items.
Service could be a lot better. Staff seemed distracted and not very attentive to customersâ needs. It wasnât overly crowded when we visited, yet we had to wait and follow up multiple times to get our order and basic things like water or cutlery.
The ambience is functionalânothing fancyâbut decently clean and spacious enough for small groups or solo diners.
đ Pros:
Good Andhra-style veg meals
Decent pricing
Clean seating area
â Cons:
Non-veg items like biryani and kebabs were below average
Service was slow and lacked courtesy
Not consistent across dishes
Might be worth a visit if youâre specifically looking for veg Andhra meals, but for anything beyond that, Iâd suggest exploring better...
