XXL Vadapav — Restaurant in Bengaluru

I wonder how and why this place has gotten 4+ stars. (May be paid reviews) I am writing this as a someone who is born and brought up in Mumbai and knows what Vadapav is. Honestly finding a good vadapav is a struggle, but this place showed me what worst vadapav is. When they served it, the vada was smashed and the potato filling was all out. The lady at the counter says, that the server pressed the lav because it would fall out of the dish (how can anyone even think of such reason🤷🏻‍♀️) There was raw onion stuffed inside the pav along with Vada— whyyyy?? Give onion by side make it as an optional thing. Who puts raw onion.. aghhh I ordered chai- and it was फटी हुई चाय. I don’t know how to describe this better in English. Visiting this place was a disaster and selling whatever they sell under the name of vadapav is a BIG SCAMMM And guess how much we paid for one vadapav, one buttermilk and one chai- (no decent place to sit, no ambience or whatsoever). We paid 177/-...

Tried the Butter Vadapav and the Regular Vadapav. The Butter one tasted better than the regular one. The Pav inside comes in bigger size when compared to other places which is definitely the highlight. I didnt find the Vadapav that much of spicy. Tried the Filter coffee as well as it was on the menu, like who says no for a filter coffee and it turned out to be bad, with the froth en all it look like a filter coffee but didnt taste like the one. Tried the Kadak Ginger Chai as well, that turned out okaish. If one's looking for a snack at a pleasent evening which would fill your stomach than u gotta visit XXL Vadapav ...

Right outside Zudio in HSR layout, is where we met this vadapav entrepreneur, who won us over with his smile and enthusiasm. One bite of the vadapav and we were transported to (his) mom's kitchen. The pav was melt in the mouth and the vada a spice blaster, to even out all that love put into the dish and beautiful packaging. Do meet him if possible at the spot or you can just order out on our trustworthy delivery apps.
