⭐⭐⭐⭐ | Atlantis HSR – A Cosmic Experience with Just One Dessert Glitch
Namma Bengaluru never fails to amaze! I seriously don’t know how this city manages to open new restaurants, bars, cafes, lounges, and secret rooftop galaxies every week — but here we are. Atlantis Bar & Restaurant in HSR Layout is one such out-of-the-world addition, quite literally.
Step inside and boom — you feel like you’ve left Earth. The ambience hits you like a portal opened up in the middle of HSR. With massive arches, moody lighting, fog effects, and a layout that feels part church, part spaceship, and part sci-fi nightclub, you almost feel underdressed unless you’ve shown up in a spacesuit. Hats off to the owners for this level of detail — it’s not easy to pull off such planning, theme, and architecture during tough times. It’s clear a lot of heart (and money!) has gone into this. Full respect.
Now let’s talk about the food – we absolutely loved most of it! Starters were lip-smacking, mains were full of flavour, and the mocktails and cocktails were top-notch. The menu is a great mix of crowd-favourites and fancy picks, and the presentation is as extra as the ambience. We ordered quite a few things and genuinely had no regrets on the food front.
Shoutout to our server too – so polite, warm, and switched-on. He was patient with our questions, gave good suggestions, and made the whole experience even better. Service in such large theme places can get patchy, but we got lucky!
Now to the star that slightly fell – that ₹1500 space dessert. Oh boy. Yes, yes, an astronaut-looking guy literally walks up to you like he’s delivering a moon rock. Full performance mode. And honestly? We loved his enthusiasm – he deserves a bonus just for style and dedication. But the dessert itself? Bit of a letdown. All smoke and space, but not enough sweetness to match the hype. For that price, we expected a flavour bomb but got more of a sugar cloud. However – and this is important – the other desserts were excellent! We tried a couple more after that one, and those were absolutely delicious. So don’t judge their entire dessert game by that one Instagrammable item.
Also, the group scan-and-order system was slightly confusing. It kept showing combined bills across tables like we were all on a group space mission. Took us till the final bill to figure out what we actually owed. Hopefully they fine-tune this part soon.
But apart from these minor things — Atlantis is a brilliant place. Perfect for birthdays, squad dinners, or when you want to leave gravity behind and chill in style. The vibe is unmatched, the food is strong, and the theme is pure Bengaluru boldness.
Try once the space dessert, but many times the others, and enjoy the ride. Atlantis truly...

Read moreWe recently had the pleasure of dining at a remarkable place that offered a delightful culinary experience. For a group of three, we kept our order simple yet diverse, choosing three dishes along with a beer tasting flight. Our selection included the Avocado Sushi, Aglio Olio Pasta, and Crispy Chilli Lotus Stem — each dish bringing its own unique flavor to the table.
Starting with the Aglio Olio Pasta, it was a cheesy delight that struck the perfect balance of rich, creamy goodness. The pasta was cooked to perfection, with just the right amount of seasoning, making it a dish that any cheese lover would relish. The Crispy Chilli Lotus Stem, on the other hand, was an absolute revelation. It was beautifully crisp, with a harmonious blend of sauces and honey that offered an impeccable fusion of sweet and spicy flavors. Each bite was a burst of contrasting yet complementing tastes. As for the Avocado Sushi, it was an excellent choice for vegetarians who are eager to explore sushi. The roll was fresh, light, and packed with flavors that would leave even sushi skeptics impressed.
To accompany the food, we opted for the beer tester, which came with five different flavors served in short glasses. The selection included wheat, corn, lychee, and two other intriguing varieties. While the concept was appealing, an honest opinion from a friend who sampled them all suggested that the flavors were not particularly impressive. It might be best to sample and order according to your own preference.
Beyond the food, the overall ambiance was nothing short of mesmerizing. The architecture and interiors exuded an old-world charm, reminiscent of a grand castle. The intricate detailing and regal atmosphere transported us to another era, making the experience even more memorable. The service was equally commendable — prompt, attentive, and ensuring a seamless dining experience.
In summary, this place is a must-visit for anyone seeking a blend of delightful flavors, exceptional ambiance, and impeccable service. Whether you're in the mood for comforting pasta, adventurous sushi, or crispy delicacies, this spot promises to deliver a memorable...
