I recently had the unfortunate pleasure of dealing with the abysmal services provided by Bakingo. I placed an order with them to deliver a special cake for my beloved mother on Mother's Day, but what I received was nothing short of a disgraceful disaster.
To begin with, the cake that was delivered to me was in an utterly damaged state. It appeared as though it had been through a battle with a bulldozer! The once meticulously crafted design was now a jumbled mess of crumbs and frosting. It was not just aesthetically unappealing; it was completely inedible. How Bakingo could have thought that such a disaster could be considered a suitable gift for any occasion is beyond comprehension.
To make matters worse, their incompetent delivery partner added insult to injury. Instead of ensuring a smooth and timely delivery, they conveniently decided to leave the cake with building security without informing me. I had explicitly provided all the necessary delivery instructions, and yet they disregarded them completely. This careless act completely ruined the surprise I had planned for my mother and left me feeling utterly disappointed.
Naturally, I reached out to Bakingo's customer support, expecting a prompt and empathetic response. However, their so-called "support" team managed to make the situation even more infuriating. Their response to my complaint was a simple "Thank you." Are you kidding me? Is that the best they could do? It was clear that they had zero regard for the impact their negligence had on me and my special occasion.
The overall experience with Bakingo was nothing short of a nightmare. From the damaged cake to the irresponsible delivery and the dismissive attitude of their customer support, it was a series of disappointments that I will not soon forget. Their lack of professionalism and disregard for customer satisfaction is utterly pathetic.
I strongly advise anyone considering Bakingo's services to think twice. Save yourself the frustration, disappointment, and the revolting taste of a ruined cake. There are plenty of other reputable options available that actually care about their customers and take pride in delivering quality products. My tragic experiences: Last three orders of mine were not delivered. All of these are happened within few months of time. Imagine their horrible service.
Order 1: I have ordered a cake for 2024 new year celebration as a surprise to my family and chosen 9PM-11PM delivery slot, they tried to attempt delivery at 2AM next day. They said that they couldn't deliver due to heavy traffic. Okk somehow understood.
Order 2: I didn't mind the previous failure and ordered one more cake for my niece's birthday. This time it's even more horrible.. I have chosen 7PM-9PM delivery slot, trust me.. they kept me on waiting till 12AM next day but the cake was not delivered though I was frequently calling them for the updates. Reason they said due to heavy rain they couldn't deliver. This time I got frustrated and felt very sad but nothing I could do. Literally they took more than a half day and couldn't deliver the cake, I would have gone and collected if they had asked.
Order 3: This time I didn't want to go with Bakingo because of my tragic previous experiences. But my nephew wanted one designer cake and I was forced to order from Bakingo again and have chosen 5PM-7PM slot. I have a strong feeling that they will not deliver this time also.. as expected they didn't deliver until 8PM and asking me to wait few more hours. Same story again.. due to heavy rains. This time since I knew them I ordered a second cake from the other vendor and they delivered it on-time in the same delivery slot while Bakingo was not even trying to deliver.
Worst part is that every time they denied to cancel the order and refund the amount although they had done the mistake. After a verbal fight they will agree to cancel and refund, again they will say that they will refund to wallet. When we pay the money from the Bank, how come they will refund it to their wallet and keep our money.
They don't even value the emotion of the customer and not even a single update they provide to customer during the transition or about the delay. Their portal also don't show you the time of the order, price breakup and other crucial...

Order Id:889287 I ordered for a Birthday cake after looking at the reviews for my son's 5th B'day on the 4th Jan 2020 through their website, but was shocked to see the cake that was delivered was not at all like the one ordered. when I chatted with the customer care their response was like "sorry sir its freshly baked and only difference in the color kindly adjust with it as we cannot change or cancel the order". When I asked them to make changes and have it delivered they said that the delivery is out and nothing can be changed. when I asked them if they find any difference they said not much difference. can you spot the difference.... I understand that it may not be as perfect as shown but the finishing is what is expected from a bakery who has the best reviews.
I had to order for another cake at the last minute for my son's b'day. I then called the Bakingo Customer care and they again said the same thing and only when I asked for a supervisor or a manager, the agent requested to give 5 minutes as he would check and get back to me.
After sometime he called and asked me not to consume the cake and they will replace it with a fresh one the very next day but at any time as per their convenience before midnight. When i asked why not a specified slot like 3-6 pm or so then he replied it depends on the chef what time he would give. I have had the cake till today (13 Jan 2021) without consuming and and it's completely spoiled but Bakingo has not replaced and neither called back till date even for courtesy
Now being a customer who pays for the order ends up getting a wrong order and then again I have to wait for the whole day on my son's birthday just for the replacement as per their Chef's convenience.. this is a very unprofessional and poor customer service from BAKINGO.
