Basaveshwara khanavali — Restaurant in Bengaluru

From what I read in the reviews and the images I am sure this is the same Basaveshwara Khanavali that I used to have my lunch when I first came to Bangalore. Back then I was in sales and struggling making like 8k a month (Near VR Mall). They served food for 30 rupees and 10 or 15 for add-ons. This was a time, maybe, about a year before lockdown. They had a very homely atmosphere. Being an orphan, they made me feel at home. Now, that I am somewhat stable and can spend 5-6k for lunch nothing an no fancy place has ever been able to beat this place. Basaveshwara Khanavali is etched into my heart even though I am forgetful and I don't remember their names but I can still visualise their smiling faces. I am so grateful to have met them when I was at my lowest. The sad part is they shifted one day and I was too busy struggling I never found out where they went. I hope this is the same place. This restaurant is in HSR sector 6 near by Rajesh jeweller’s shop. It’s basically serves North Karnataka food. Which gives you same food vibes. I love to have north Karnataka meal here.

In menu you will Sajji Roti, Jwar roti, daal sabji, curd, butter milk, papad, parotha, upbatu, Anna sambhar, Chitranna, rice, and many more.

Price for meal is good. 2 Jwar roti with daal sabji , bhaigan sabji chatni curd salad Gee is cost you 80 Rs.

I will recommend you shop if you food lovers and want to test the different cultures food and vibes.

Carry cash as basement does not have network so UPI payment can be an issue but if just move a bit out side it will be done. Though they have Wi-Fi connect and it available to join but that’s up to you.
