Beijing Bites - Yelahanka — Restaurant in Bengaluru

This review is about Beijing Bites, Yelahanka 14th Feb was a weekday. So we planned a dinner at Beijing bites. Since it was valentine's day, considering the rush, I called up the restaurant on 13th Feb and reserved a table for 4 people. I gave special instructions to book the table facing the road. Booking was noted down at the other end and confirmed.

On 14th, at 6PM I again called up and reconfirmed the reservation to which I was told that my booking is confirmed for 9PM and table is reserved. When we reached there at around 9PM, restaurant was full. No table was reserved for us and the person at the counter did not know anything about our booking. He asked us to wait, since there is no waiting area we had to stand for about 15 minutes and then got the table, which was on the back side. My parents who are in their seventies had to stand for about 10 minutes and wait.

Ordered the food, the waiter was in hurry and was making bad faces as if he was doing some favor by taking the orders. The menu card had jacked up prices - being valentine day. There was a paper strip with new prices glued over the old pricing, which was 30% over the old pricing.

The wait started for food, after a couple of trips to counter , water was served 45 minutes after we took seats. The mood / attitude of servers, person manning the counter was "its heavy rush so we are helpless" the expressions were pathetic from the entire staff. We ordered food at 9.15 and the starters were served at 10.10 and they forgot to serve one of the main course. Somehow we gulped down the tasteless fare. Again we had to shout for the water to be served.

Overall it was pathetic experience. The worst 1:30 hours I spent in any Bangalore restaurant. Even after this the front office was non apologetic. Their point is the rush is more, we are helpless. But they did not had any answer on who took my booking a day before and why my table was not reserved.

I gave feedback in the form they provided, on demand and after 10 minutes. I was promised that someone would call up regarding my feedback. Today is 5th day and no email no call from them. So they are pathetic on...

I was a frequent customer of this place but stopped going regularly since past one year as both the quality of service & taste of food deteriorated rapidly!! After avoiding for more than 6 months or so, again went in October thinking they might have improved, however it was worse. We ordered starters at 8.30 & got them only at 10.00 & that too only after shouting hard. There was only one cook. These people should tell us about that while taking the order itself. Communication is a big challenge as they neither understand Kannada or English. Also they don't even have the manners of saying as much as a Sorry when they're wrong. Again, after avoiding them for 3+ months, ordered take away food TODAY. When I checked the bill, it was ₹30 more!! We all think that since it is a computerized bill, it will be correct. This bill was wrong. When I confronted, again no Sorry....he was just sitting with a dumb face. I gave him a thorough warning & left disgusted. Will never ever visit this place. Requesting others to avoid this restaurant.
