Calicut Stories — Restaurant in Bengaluru

So this place calls itself CALICUT Stories 🤔. Bro, if THIS is CALICUT DUM BIRIYANI then I’m Lionel Messi playing gully cricket in Kerala. What they served is not biriyani… it’s a fruit salad wearing a ghee rice costume. Shame on using the word CALICUT for this comedy plate.

I don't recommend this place for Biriyani may be other dishes are good since the rating is good

The “Biriyani” Disaster 🎭 "കോഴിക്കോട്ട്കാരെ പറയപ്പിച്ച ബിരിയാണി ദുരന്തം "

🍚 Rice: Cheap jeerakasala knock-off. No aroma, no dum, just sad grains lying there.

🐓 Chicken: Not dum masala chicken, just chicken roast on top of pineapple rice. Even bachelors in PG do better.

🍍 Essence: Pineapple smell. Thought I ordered biriyani, got fruit punch instead.

🌿 Curry leaves: Fried curry leaves inside biriyani 🤯 — who are you trying to fool?.

🍘 Pappad: Not Kerala papadam, just the basic one. CALICUT cried that day.

🥒 Salad: Watery curd with onions swimming like fish in Bellandur lake.

🥭 Pickle: Straight from bottle, vinegar kicking harder than masala.

Service 🛎️ Asked for salad and pickle, had to call like I’m begging for free WiFi.

Told them this biriyani insults CALICUT’s name — staff stood like wax statues at Madame Tussauds, and he is from Calicut , what an irony 🕴️.

Price 💸 Menu says ₹160, they charged ₹170. For what? For serving trauma in a plate? Even ₹100 feels like daylight robbery.

Ambience 💡 Lights ✨ were nice, music 🎶 was fine, speakers 🔊 actually worked. But who the hell comes to CALICUT Stories to review bulbs and woofers?

⚠️ Final Words: This is NOT Dum. This is NOT CALICUT. This is NOT biriyani. This is ghee rice + chicken roast + pineapple deodorant 🤮. Please, if you love CALICUT even 1%, remove that name from your board. Right now it’s not CALICUT Stories… it’s CALICUT...

First time we tried mandi it was good. Second time we visit to try thali meal by 12:15pm noon. The place they offer to sit not clean disposal glasses on the floor down of the table. Before welcoming or offering any menu water the waiter was doing argument regarding discount. At last we will order for meal thali. No brife regarding the food items what comes in thali.while eating food we found oil plastic paper in dal. We called waiter regarding this and his behavior was so casual. We request to meet any concern person to meet but no one came on our table. Twice we remaind waiter to meet any concern person but no one bother to come on the table. We went for lunch 12:30 and expecting hot food for lunch but the dishes was cold specially one dish alo and chana curry it was so cold feels like just take out from fridge and serve to us. I had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. The food quality was far below expectations—completely bland. I ordered meals, but the quantity of curry served was very less, and nothing tasted authentic Kerala style. It was disheartening and not worth the price. I honestly felt really bad after the experience. I’ve heard the mandi here is good, but I would really appreciate if proper, authentic Kerala meals were served with better quality...
