Corner House Yelahanka — Restaurant in Bengaluru

Iconic and for a reason! Coming to corner house after maybe 5-6 months but it still maintains the same taste and standards as before. The DBC being iconic, i got that, alongwith rum and raisin and my absolute favourite, their vanilla with coffee sauce. The DBC remains stellar, no faults, the rum and raisin is okay, the rum flavour is a little artificial but good nonetheless. The coffee sauce is out of this world delicious, the right amount of bitter and sweet, the vanilla ice-cream itself has these like icy bits which isn't great but overall, yum! Corner House Ice cream will not disappoint any Ice cream lover any time. Most of the times you will see this place at a corner because of the brand name and brand USP you can say. I am so deeply disappointed and saddened by this experience. I placed an order with Swiggy 1.5hrs ago - I waited patiently because I did not want the restaurant, not the delivery executive to suffer. I just waited, Finally, after one hour at 12 o’clock, I get an order cancelled message on my screen. This team is so awfully inhumane And disrespectful. They did not realise that the customer who has been a loyal one for years placed an order awaited because on a Saturday night, she wanted to eat ice cream and then finally at 12 in the night because you shut down you cancel my order last minute. After me, having waited more than one hour, patiently. Can't talk much about Corner House because it is a universally loved place. Anything positive to say about their ice-creams and desserts has been said multiple times, so it will make me sound very repetitive. However, I would highly recommend their Hot Caremello Pudding.

I am glad they opened a branch in Yelahanka. While it is worth traveling to the city to indulge in their desserts, this just makes it easier.

If I have to nitpick, the only downside about this place is that is is quite small. And when there is a rush, it is difficult to stand inside the shop, let alone eat in. Speaking of eating in, there are no tables or chairs. Just one standing table (the ones you see in darshinis all over Bangalore).
