I recently visited Empire, and honestly, the experience was a bit mixed.
First, when I parked my two-wheeler in front of the restaurant, one gentleman in a blazer (looked like a manager at first) politely but firmly signaled me to park at the back. The funny thing is—there were already plenty of two-wheelers parked in the front. So apparently, parking in the front is allowed… but just not for me? Still can’t figure out the logic there.
Inside, another gentleman in a coat and tie (later I realized even the waiters here are suited up like managers—quite an overdress code for the service they provide) was literally pushing me to order more. Even after I said no, he kept insisting on juices and starters as if it was some kind of compulsory package deal. Instead of making me feel comfortable, it felt like he was observing and judging my choices, which is not how hospitality should work.
We ordered one mutton biryani (₹300) and half alfaham chicken. The biryani—let’s just say you might need a microscope to spot the mutton pieces. Quantity and taste were just okay, but definitely not worth the price. The alfaham, on the other hand, wasn’t served hot at all—it felt like it had come straight from the fridge and into the oven for a quick reheat, not even done evenly.
To add to that, the same coat-clad “manager-waiter” came back multiple times in a rather commanding tone, not in a warm or polite way. Honestly, I’ve never seen a waiter act like he’s interrogating customers.
On the positive side, the person who actually served the food was very polite and helpful. I even gave him a tip because he was the only one who made the experience feel like I was in a restaurant and not at a strict school canteen.
Overall: Not at all happy with the service. The over-formal blazers don’t make up for the underwhelming food and...

Read moreBiriyani is not good nowadays... Previously I think 10 years back it was fantastic... Now i can give only 4 out of 10. Mutton also not that much fast (we had mutton biriyani) The big plate of biriyani (650 Rs) 3 people can eat. So don't order more. The lime soda is good but very costly there. Alfaham chicken was very tasty.. you can try that one. Really awesome. Again after 2 years, I have visited recently (Oct.2023). Ordered Chicken and Mutton Biriyani. OMG, the biriyani I ever had. It seems, they just mix the white rice with a small amount of biriyani masala. very much disappointed. I went with my friend who is new to Bangalore. so I wanted to give a good biriyani to him. I felt sad that I had been the wrong place to eat Biriyani.
If we have biriyani with good aroma and masala, I will not recommend to go here. not at all the biriyani smell also not there. I have asked the person who took our order and asked some masala and mixed. after that had without interesting (no taste at all) Service is ok level.
2 years back I enjoyed Alfhan chicken. So I ordered the same thing. That also lost...
