Sri Udupi Food Hub Kammanahalli — Restaurant in Bengaluru

Having done a event here recently, listing the pros and cons below. Overall a satisfactory experience to conduct events here)

Pros: Hall Capacity - adequate to host 150 ~ 200 members at a time and 400 as moving members.

Quality of food - excellent (had a little bit extra salt on one of the item but can be ignored as other food items were really tasty)

Staff and experience - really cordial and attending to needs, any customization or additional request is met with a pleasent smile and excellent attitude.

Food and table arrangements - was well organized and planned so that people can be seated for food and event happens without interruption. Also they do have. A dedicated service hall (unfortunately in the basement which involves moving from party hall in 4th floor to basement)

Lift/elevator facility - spacious and well maintained which can hold a capacity of 6 people easily at one time

Cons: Parking space - one major concern as it doesn't have any car parking space dedicated for people attending events, parking should be done on the main traffic prone road or nearby park (two wheeler parking space is available in front of the hotel)

Shops around - there are couple of shops around as annexure to the restaurant, though for regular business that's fine, sometimes it is an inconvenience as one has to walk right across the crowd in shops or waiting outside the restaurant to reach the event entrance (would have preferred a dedicated/separate entrance which avoids the general public)

Lift / Elevator - since there is only one for staff, oyo residents and event hosts and attendees makes it little difficult to use the lift (since there are oyo rooms in other floors along with this hotel, chances of residents of oyo using the lift is higher in which case one has to wait...

Hosted my son’s 2nd year birthday party in opera banquet hall, which is part of Udupi food hub kammanahalli.

The hall looks super elegant with good interiors which is decent enough for engagement, birthday party’s and small gathering. Hall has capacity of 150 and anything more would definitely look flooded (in case of buffet).

Quality of food is too good and specially mentioning veg dum biryani and paneer butter masala which were absolutely lip smacking , chilli gobi is a must try dish. Got big thumbs up from the guest and the food was in all praises. Roti was not up to the mark, was bit rubbery and service got delayed in mid of the function which could have been taken care in better way.

Coming to the decoration part, firstly outside decorators are not allowed and the price charged for decorating the hall is way too high. Decoration representative is a nice guy and we literally bugged him for creating our thoughts into reality. Decoration was excellent and we loved the work.

Manager here was a cool person and very cooperative from the start till end, he was very patient about each and every requirement we presented. The hall was given for 4 hours (6pm -10pm), but our function got extended for an hour extra and the manager ensured we had no hassle. We thank him for being there...

We were looking for a venue to celebrate our baby’s namakarana and choosing The Opera Banquet Hall(Udupi Food Hub) was the best decision we took! Our event was a super duper hit. There are very few venues in the city that can provide a good looking well maintained AC hall with a relaxed atmosphere, in a central location with good food, Udupi Food Hub’s party hall checks all these boxes! Their hall is new and well maintained and the interiors make it look nice and grand. The star offering from them though is the food - every single guest of ours complimented the food and so many went back home and called us to check the names of the different dishes that they loved. Their menu is elaborate and customizable and their kitchen make some very unique dishes that our guests thoroughly enjoyed. If you are ever hosting here do ask for their Hara Bhara Kebab, Kaju Masala and Malai Sandwich. A very special shout out to Rajesh - he made sure our event was a super success. From day1 he has been nothing but cooperative be it planning the menu, giving his unique suggestions or having a sharp eye for detail. He remembered our smallest requests and made sure they were executed. We are now waiting for another occasion to come Up just so we can host an event with Rajesh and Opera...
