Hotel Navayuga is not just a restaurant, it is an experience that captures the essence of authentic Andhra cuisine. The moment you step inside, you know you are about to taste food that is unapologetically bold, fiery, and true to tradition.
The biryani here is nothing short of legendary. Cooked on dum over wood fire, it has that deep smoky flavor which makes it stand apart from the rest. Instead of the usual basmati, Navayuga uses jeera samba rice. The smaller grains soak up the masala completely, making every spoonful rich, aromatic, and bursting with flavor. This is not a biryani that fades away after two bites, it lingers, it challenges, and it satisfies.
Navayuga is also celebrated for its non veg items. The chicken fry, mutton curry, prawns, and fish are all cooked with the authentic Andhra touch. The spice is bold but never meaningless, it carries depth, balance, and the kind of taste you cannot fake. Even the veg meals deserve appreciation, with dal, pachadi, curries, and pappu that remind you of a traditional homely meal prepared with care.
But what truly makes Navayuga stand out is the people behind it. The owner, Mohan Rao, is a gentleman in every sense. Despite his age, he personally walks around the restaurant, greeting people with kindness, checking if they are comfortable, and making everyone feel welcome. You can see the pride he carries for the food and the legacy of Navayuga. The staff too deserve recognition, they are attentive, polite, and helpful no matter how crowded the place becomes. Together, they create an atmosphere of warmth that perfectly matches the richness of the food.
Hotel Navayuga has remained legendary for decades because it never compromised on authenticity. It did not water down its flavors to please everyone. Instead, it chose to remain bold, fiery, and true to Andhra tradition. That is why it continues to hold such a special place in people’s hearts.
For anyone who loves real Andhra food, Navayuga is not just a hotel, it is a landmark. And with people like Mohan Rao leading it with such dedication and kindness, Navayuga will continue to serve...

I recently dined at Hotel Navayuga, located in the bustling streets of Gandhi Nagar, Bangalore, and I'd like to share my experience.
Ambience: While the ambiance at Hotel Navayuga is nothing extraordinary. It’s busy atmosphere, especially during peak hours. Despite the crowd, the staff managed the rush efficiently.
Food: We ordered a variety of dishes, including chicken biryani, chicken roast, chili chicken, and chicken kabab. The starters were the highlight of our meal, with each dish bursting with flavor and perfectly cooked. However, the chicken roast fell short of expectations, lacking the depth of flavor I had hoped for. The chicken biryani was decent, but it didn't quite stand out compared to other biryanis I've tried.
Service: Despite the busy lunch hour, the service was prompt and attentive. The staff were courteous and accommodated our requests without any hassle.
Overall Impression: Hotel Navayuga offers a decent dining experience with its delicious starters and efficient service. While there's room for improvement, particularly with the chicken roast, the restaurant's bustling atmosphere adds to its charm. I would rate my experience a solid 4 out of 5.

Read moreI was in Bengaluru Majestic and was searching for a good restaurant near me. Hotel Navayuga was rated well and seemed like something I should try. Their Chicken Biryani and non-veg items were suggested in the google reviews. Unfortunately I couldn't try non-veg that day. I opted for veg meals. The hotel opens at 11.30 AM and I went for lunch. I ordered veg meals (andhra meals). It was so so good. Meals included Rice, Sambar, Rasam, Pappu Aaku Koora, Side dish, Curd, Buttermilk and Papad. Along with these, Ghee, Pappu Podi and Pachadi were also served. The rice with podi and ghee was awesome. The pachadi was great. The sambar was delicious, the pappu aaku kura was yummy. The rasam tasted so good and so did the buttermilk. Finally the Curd, it was 👌🏻. Overall it was a fine and delicious lunch. It was unlimited meals and my tummy was absolutely full. It was authentic andhra meals. The staff was very polite and customer friendly. The dining area was spacious. The hand wash area and the toilets are well maintained. Cost: 150 INR (Meals + Watter bottle). I think meals costed 130 INR. Location: Near Majestic, walkable distance. Can get into the hotel from both sides (SC Road and also from the entrance opposite to Majestic bus stand, I think inside Mayura building).
Next time in Bangalore, I will definetely try...
