Were a group of 4 oldies who met after 24 years. Wanted it to be a memorable occassion. Someone suggested Karama. It was memorable as we met close to a quater century later, but certain things were not really well. 3 Non-Veg eaters and Vegeterian. Checked out their menu and decided for this place.
Will start with the Cons, as that's where they need to drastically improve
Cons : Mushakkal was nice, but not large enough for the price quoted. Kuboos were tiny. Good enough for kids Special BBQ N.Veg platter was 95% chicken. Of all only 2 items were mutton. All items were not marinated well. Dozed with spices freshly and grilled. Masala needs to be minimum and marinated for a duration. Daal Makhni was a serious put off. Guys, you need to watch a few videos of how to make Daal Makhni. Plz. I had to apologize to my Vegetarian friend. Saudi Champagne. Well yes Saudi has these in abundance. But plz have a name that's not an oxymoron, people come to have halal food not smitten by the west to have such names. Over priced for a jar of it Paneer Makhni. Absolute waste. They put whole blocks, didn't bother cutting them not roasting them before adding it to the base. Base was also raw.
Pros: Ambience : Amazing. Enjoyed every bit of it. Service : Was regimental with a personal touch. Right from the entrance, server and the cleaner were very humble, understanding and professional. I hope you pay them well. Chicken kabab, Cheese Hara Bhara Kabab, Tandoori Roti, Rasmalai were very good.
Overall serious introspection needed, unless you think the guest will come and eat anything and everything, without knowing about it.
Wish you good luck but only after you've made sincere efforts towards...

Located at Mosque Road, Frazer Town in Bengaluru , this Restaurant serves authentic Arabic, Karachi and Punjabi cuisines. The old building that houses this restaurant looks like a heritage property and restaurant is well spread out in multiple floors. The entrance alley resembles old West Asian towns and one has multiple choice of sitting styles including floor styled sitting in seperated carpeted enclosure. We were three heads and booked our table in advance and sitted on a table at a roadside balony. We orderd coolers Fresh lime soda (Rs. 70) and Tender Coconut Coolers (Rs. 120). For starter, we ordered Arabian Chicken Shish Tawook , some sort of boneless chicken kabad served on an Arabic Bread and with potato French Fry (Rs. 289) , Alfahm Laham , sort of boneless mutton kebab served with onion, spiced calcicum (Rs. 549). Both the system taste good and different from the kababs which we get on Indian cuisines. For main course we had Karachi Naan (Rs. 55), Butter Naan (Rs. 65) and Rogan Josh (Rs. 359). Rogan Josh tasted little flat to us. For desert, we had Jalebi with Rabdi (Rs. 99) and Tender Coconut Pudding (Rs. 59) The preparations were very good, little spicey . Loved the place. A perfect place for fine dining in a Arabic styled ambiance and very reasonably priced. Our total bill was Rs. 1768 for 3 persons. Service was great and Abdul in particular provided us...
Read moreVisited Karama Restaurant on a weekday evening to try some Iftar food items. Among all the eateries on the street, this place stood out as the most crowded, which piqued my curiosity. They offered a wide variety of dishes, covering chicken, beef, mutton, and desserts. Compared to many other shops in the area, they maintain a certain level of hygiene, which was a plus.
Food Experience: Malabar Cocktail – A refreshing drink loaded with fresh fruits, perfect for cooling down. Mutton Paya – A rich, flavorful soup with one tender mutton leg, served piping hot along with two idiyappams. Mutton Haleem – A must-try dish! Topped with fried onions and lemon, it was absolutely delicious and perfectly textured. Pista Falooda – A great way to end the meal, made with semiya and pista, and the sugar level was just right.
What to Expect: Iftar food heaven – One of the best spots to indulge in Iftar specials. They have a full-fledged restaurant, but I only tried the Iftar section. No dedicated parking, so you’ll have to park on the roadside at your own risk. Be mindful of your belongings as the place gets extremely crowded. Pricing is on the higher side, but considering the quality and taste, it’s worth trying at least once.
Verdict: If you’re looking for authentic Iftar delights in a bustling atmosphere, Karama Restaurant is a must-visit. The Mutton Haleem and Pista Falooda were the highlights for me. Just be prepared for crowds and higher prices, but the experience is...
