“Did Not Meet My Expectation But Is Different” I was here on 13th October 2015 for dinner around 20:00 Hrs. The place was deserted except for a couple. The restaurant itself is dark and I felt it needed more lighting, maybe my taste in lighting is different. The furniture is OK. The sitting is not that cosy as the chairs are heavy and difficult to move when you want to adjust them. The menu has some Arabic and Indian dishes, Persian, too! But , then I am not an expert on those dishes. I did not know what to order, so, asked the waiter to suggest something. He suggested some chicken dish, the name of which I forgot. :). However, the chicken pieces and the gravy separated on the plate once it was served. The taste was not that great, too. The quantity was average. I was, too, not very hungry that day. I was just trying this place out as I had read about it online. Please choose a dish which you are familiar with or you will have the same experience as I did. The waiter was courteous and helpful.

Read moreThe lure of Bhatkali cuisine certainly draws you to Alibaba, but sadly, the place hasn't kept up with the times. The climb up to the restaurant is very unappealing and decor too is fairly dated. Alibaba is best enjoyed on a slow day when you have time to spend/kill because the service is slow at best (or completely absent at times!) and can sometimes drive you to death; however, for the patient breed, the food will certainly be worth the wait. Some picks of Persian cuisine & the obvious Bhatkali flavours are curated carefully to the connoisseurs taste buds. Savour the experience of Alibaba on a slow day with time to spend with your loved ones for a flavourful...
