This place would remind Malayalees of a typical "CHAAYAKADA (local tea shop in Kerala)", a very small place with the old radio, desk and bench, Kerala's traditional snacks displayed in a glass cupboard, and the evergreen taste of 'naadan chai / kaapi'. The paintings on the wall and the overall ambience would evoke a sense of NOSTALGIA, for sure. They offer ONLY SNACKS (which are made right in front of us)!! So, people looking for a meal or a proper restaurant might have to look elsewhere.

The quickest way to spot it - look for a thick crowd of Malayalees in front of a tiny shop, on the way to St.Thomas church / Christ University back gate, down the Saddagunta Palya (S.G. Palya) Road. You wont miss it!! A MUST-VISIT place, if you are in the...

TL;DR - Amazing tea. Decent offerings for snacks. The detailed review is as follows: when you enter, it's like walking into a tea shop in Kerala. The entire ambience, however small it is, welcomes you warmly. The staff are courteous even though they're continuously busy. Service is brisk. And the best part is the vast variety of snacks, from all parts of Kerala. One wouldn't be able to find this assortment in a single shop in Kerala because that would vary from region to region, however this place has it all. And as if that wasn't enough, each of those items tastes good. Overall, it's a happy experience and I look forward to visiting whenever I'm in...

Malabar Cafe Restaurant is a new restaurant. It's design and interior is good , but the place is a little small. It can only fit 30 or so people which makes the place crowded. They say they have a lot of variety to serve, but just like a normal restaurant they provide food. This place will be a good choice for non-vegetarian foods, but it does not provide much vegetarian foods. Malabar Cafe Restaurant looks tidy and neat enough, as it was just started. The waiters and all perform their duty well. Since the place is exactly in a junction , it doesn't have parking space and place outside the restaurant is...

Tea are very good, it's Kerala style tea, serving in big glass and many kind of Kerala snacks are available there, vada, ulli vada,samosa,kilikkoodu,rolls,ney pathiri,irachi pathiri, bonda, ilayada, parippuvada, kappa roast, unnakkaya, irachivada etc... All are very tasty like homely snacks, should try one's malabari special snacks it highly preferred, if you don't like oily snacks can try some snacks that make in steam Evening time is very crowded, and comparatively price little higher than usual , for almost snack they are charging 20 rupees and above
