This is one of those non advertised, non hyped and surviving through the word of mouth kinda restaurants. Located in an extremely noisy, hard to find parking and a commercial place...You better put your dancing shoes on, when the criteria is you crossing the road to reach Mughal Durbar..A high divider, unforgiving drivers(who are on a mission to save the earth) and distracting pedestrians on the other side of the road. Pretty understandable that you're gonna be hopping and dodging your way through, if by your rotten luck you are parked across the road?? :(
And if you think, you are gonna be given a decent treatment, after all that hop, skip and jump then be assured that this is just gonna get more stickier... No! Literally stickier.. sticky tables, sticky menu card :( ok! So you know, I complain, and complain, and complain... why the 4? Maybe a Mughal Durbar or zomato glitch you presume??
ABSO-BLOOMING-LUTELY NOT! This guy has the besssssssst food in town, if you are gonna be a big heart sweetie and forgive Mughal Durbars senseless decor and awful staff, You my man/woman are in for a treat. Everything is just perfect! The quantity and the quality aren't compromised, the food is declicious and done just the way it is supposed to be.
The Chicken fried rice is by far the best, easily feeds 2 not so hungry stomachs. The biryani is amazing, reminds me of typical Muslim Wedding biryani. The broasted chicken again done to perfection and in semblance to the local middle eastern broasted chicken (The toum needs crazy improvement, nothing but a watery mess of unappetizing garlic paste). The chicken kababs are just fine, so are the chicken gravies. So, the things that must be on your tables is the Biryani, broasted chicken and maybe the chicken fried rice if you are still hungry..
I have no pictures of this place because: It's cramped there, so out goes the selfie and here comes a wad of tissues. It's crazily hot there, so by the time that wad of tissues is up, your food comes. The food is so delicious, I kinda wanna finish it fast. Because it just isn't a place where you click pictures, as people stare at you thinking..poor thing! Shes keeping a memory of her food experience, bet she hasn't gone out for dinner.. bechaari ghar ka khana kha kha kar bore ho chuki hogi, dekho kitni khush hai, photo le rahi hai khaney ki.. Because, I just wanna get outta here sooon.
And by the way.. I have stopped the whole dining here saga..As the memory, the heat and the next to nothing fan has scarred me for life... so, a piece of advice, parcel it up, do a takeaway..save yourself the agony..But do try it.. it's worth 4 stars by the way, which are purely...
Read moreA good place to have chicken biriyani and mutton biriyani. Why? Because the food quality is good. It is tasty. The masala used in biriyani and the masala used to marinate the chicken does not contain added flavours, added colors. After eating the biriyani, and going home, you get a good feeling of having eaten a sumptuous meal and you automatically feel good that you got to eat wholesome food. You feel nice in your stomach. No heaviness in the chest. No burning sensation in your food pipe. All this because good edible oil is used in preparing this biriyani. The chicken kabab here is outstandingly excellent. Its the best place in town to eat chicken kabab. Your hotel out shines only because of your chicken kabab and the tasty and sufficient gravy provided at each table in ample quantity. In cooking stale oil is never used, it is discarded, it has been the policy of Moghul Darbar right from the begining.
Chicken Kabab of Moghul Durbar, i found it to better in taste and quality when even compared to Empire hotels. What's more it is reasonably priced. For quarter plate they had served me 5 big pieces of soft, well marinated chicken big chicken pieces which was tasty and not oily. For a half plate chicken kabab that I parceled they provided me 10 pieces of chicken kabab. The entire food is very reasonably priced for the quantity and quality of food served here. Lastly I have eaten here many times over several years, and noted that they maintained an overall quality.
Negatives ; Improve on service, employ more staff. Clean the tables quickly. Don't keep us waiting at the dirty tables. Provide ample tissues at each and every table. Only serving tasty and clean food is not sufficient to get an...
Read moreIt was honestly upsetting because I had recommended Mughal Darbar with so much confidence, expecting the same quality I experienced two years ago. Back then, everything—from the taste of the food to the ambiance and service—was top-notch. But now, it feels like the standards have completely dropped.
We were a group of family and friends expecting to enjoy the evening, but instead, we ended up disappointed and frustrated. The staff seemed indifferent, the cleanliness of the place raised concerns, and nothing we ordered met even basic expectations.
It’s unfortunate when a place with a good reputation lets it fall apart over time. I hope the management takes serious action to improve things because loyal customers like me feel completely let down.
In contrast, Al Zara in Frazer Town has been consistently good. The food there is delicious, the service is respectful, and the prices are far more justified. If you're planning a family gathering or party, I’d definitely recommend Al Zara over Mughal...
