Taj Durbar — Restaurant in Bengaluru

I recently had the unfortunate experience of dining here with a group of cousins. I was genuinely excited to spend quality time with my family and enjoy a good meal, but our visit turned into an absolute disaster, thanks to the restaurant's outrageous and terrible service.

Upon arrival, we were promptly seated on the 2nd floor of the restaurant. However, a waiter, informed us that we were required to move to the 1st floor. Why? Because apparently, the 2nd floor was exclusively reserved for "families", weren't we a group of cousins enjoying a meal together, essentially representing a family unit?

The entire interaction left us feeling embarrassed and unwelcome.

I suggest you really think before eating at "Taj Durbar". It was not a good experience for us. Lots of other places care more about making you happy and comfortable, instead of having strange and mean rules. It's better to go somewhere else where they treat everyone nicely and...

Scene: We were cousins of almost all ages between 20-32. After we sat and made ourselves comfortable, the waiter came after 10 mins and requested us to go the other floor stating that the particular floor was for family (Note: there was no nuisance from us which could make the families uncomfortable, as we were a family). When we informed the waiter that we are actually a family, still he insisted us to go the other floor. The waiter was not rude and he seemed to just to have followed whatever message had to be shared by the management. After we faced the disrespect we didn't even feel to have anything over this place.

If the management reads this feedback, please never do this again with any of the customers. I hope they value customer experience...

I love to have food always at Taj Darbar since 20 years which is located in tilaknagar area which is very close to Dmart jayanagar, I use to visit this hotel frequently for having non veg but recently I took a take away food of chicken kabab but it was very very disappointed because the quantity of kabab was not good (size of chicken kabab was very small) regularly the size was quite big but I don't know why they have done like this I am very unsatisfied from the restaurant management. The restaurant is very budgeting place where we can have satisfied food with quantity and quality.......... But now in recent days I really feel pity on restaurant management who are greedy to make money by looting people with bad quantity...
