Nandhana palace is an andhra style restaurant located at the main road in visible from metro inbetween konankunte cross and Yelachnahalli. LOCATION- Yelachenahalli 1st stage Near yelachenahalli metro station Kumaraswamy layout Near sri sai ram hospital Kanakpura road Bengaluru TIMINGS- 11.30am-4pm 6.30pm-11.30pm AMBIENCE- Sofa and tables are the seating arrangement here. Sofas are high enough for backrest as well as privacy from the nearby tables. Nandhana palace is a typically andra meal serving reataurant. They have both veg and non veg options. Andhra veg meals was simply great. It was a simple banana leaf meal, but very tasty. They started off with ground nut chutney which was a bit sour due to the tamarind juice followed by cabbage and carrot palya. Palak pappu was extraordinary, served piping hot. They keep serving as and when any one of thw items on your leaf gets over. One of the great thing was that they keep revisiting your table for refills as and when the item is about to be over. This includes rasam, sambar, curd, papad, buttermilk and one type of payasa. They have pickles, dry salted chilly and chutney powder on the table itself in tiny jars. One can help themselves to it as much as they want. Desserts were average. The gulab jamun was served hot. The standard serving size is 4 medium sized jamuns in a single cup. The staffs are very friendly and they make you feel welcome with their broad smiles and curteous nods.

There is something comforting when consuming regional food. Perhaps it is the balance of spices, the familiarity of knowing what to expect, or simply the genuineness with which everything comes together as a whole! This comes to mind when thinking of Nandhana Palace. Growing up, the likes of Andhra style food, particularly the chicken biryani and chilli chicken was the stuff of legends. We used to relish is and although it seemed like something that could be made at home, the real deal for us was visiting these outlets across the city. One such name that now conjours up the right sentiment is Nandhana Palace and it was not to disappoint. Right from our entrance, the warm greeting from Poojari who served us, along with the spacious floor and seating to the fact you get to eat on a banana leaf - this all translates to a very welcoming dining experience. We ordered the (no points for guessing) Chicken Biryani, Chilli Chicken but this time added a side of Seer Fish (Anjal) Tawa Fry. The fish was marinated beautifully and charred just right. Being only with a central bone, it was easy to navigate and the fish just melts in your mouth. The chilli chicken complimented the biryani perfectly and both were wholesome and flavorful. Overall, for those looking at comforting, good and homely andhra style cuisine - I would highly recommend trying Nandhana Palace! (On Kanakapura Road)

Not able to rate zero star. I again emphasize please avoid this restaurant, It is becoming monopoly for this area and restaurant is serving very poor quality food . I am sure , ''Nandhana - kanakapura road'' is paying people to rate them high to get business rather they can focus on their usual standard which is normally good. Today (15th July , 2024) Monday we had a lunch at this restaurant, We had a Tandoor chicken platter - which is for sure a Sunday (yesterday) dinner left over items. SHAME ON YOU GUYS - SUCH A WORST EXPERIENCE The service guy confused you to take anything - never accept that. I asked for Mayonnaise, which is dedicatedly prepared not with egg but with more of sugar, I would like to name this as 'Diabetes Mayonnaise' - please be careful Mutton bone soup is average and very spicy - normally the only acceptable item here. Last comes the hero 'Nellore mutton biryani'- which feels like a last night biryani with very less mutton piece, served cold. And the last one is Mutton chukka which is of ok type. Even if you have no other options , because some vendor or customer came for a visit, order somewhere online and ignore this restaurant... "HEY NANDHANA, IF YOU CAN'T MANAGE YOUR SUNDAYS LEFT OVERS, PLEASE CLOSE RESTAURENT ON MONDAYS" Better avoid this restaurant .. Food taste is poor… Value for money is too low… You will regret…
